MUA Smokey Eyes

Hello everyone, this is a post I'm really excited to do, so I hope you enjoy it! I'm going to tell you how to create a smokey eye look with the MUA Undress Me Too-Eye Shadow Pallet it is £4 from Superdrug, which is super cheap for a pretty good eye shadow pallet. So here we go!

So firstly I take my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush (which is part of the Real Techniques Starter Set), then I am going to apply the light brown shade called 'Lavish', which is the second left colour on the top row, and just applying that all over the lid of my eye. I have to say one thing about this pallet, none of the colours are very pigmented and are all quite faint so you may have to apply quite a lot to get a good effect, but you can't really complain for £4.

Then I am going to use the dark brown shade called 'Obsessed', which is the second left colour on the bottom row. Still using my base shadow brush, I just put this through the crease of my eyelid and blend it in with the previous eye shadow I just applied. You can also take a smaller eye shadow brush and just take it down under your eye and lightly blend that across to make a more smokey effect.

The last shade I will be using is the shimmery silver one called 'Reveal' which is second from the right on the bottom row. Using my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush (I know it says 'crease brush' but I think it does the job for this), I am going to get some on the tip of my brush, then gently brush that across the bottom of my eye lid. I think this sort of finishes off the look without making your eyes look to dark. And there you have it, a lovely smokey eye look for just £4!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this, please comment down below if you went and brought this pallet and tried this look! Also comment what else you'd like to see as it really helps me out, thanks again!

Colourful Spring Nails

Hello everyone, I decided I'd do another 'Spring' themed post since the last one went down so well. I've got 5 nail varnishes that I think are perfect for the spring/summer time. And they are..

My favourite out of the 5 has to be the barrym textured nail paint in ridley road. The colour is so gorgeous and seems to go with whatever you're wearing. You don't even need a top coat with this nail varnish, it stays put all by itself. I would really recommend this for anyone looking for a bright summery colour that wants it to last for a while.

My second favourite out of these has to be the barrym gelly nail paint in papaya. I'm sure many of you will have the gelly nail varnishes by barrym, or at least heard of them. They really are amazing, there is no need to put a top coat with this either, as the finish is so perfect. The colour of this is so tropical and fruity, hence the name 'papaya', which is perfect for the upcoming spring/summer months.

Next I'm going to say the rimmel london 60 seconds nail polish in mind the gap, victoria. It fits the theme of spring, with its sky blue colour, you can't go wrong with this. This does dry off pretty quickly, and the finish is lovely, I think you'll probably need a top coat with this just to make sure but you have to do that with most nail varnishes anyway.

Second to last has to be the H&M nail polish in want a lemon. Now I couldn't find this online but I'm pretty sure they still have it in the shops. I got this last summer because of how pretty it is and I really wanted a yellow nail varnish and this seemed to do perfectly. Its a really happy spring/summer colour.

Last but not least, the barrym nail paint in strawberry ice cream. Don't get me wrong, I do love this colour however it takes quite a few coats to get it looking opaque. Also the colour doesn't stay on for that long, so you'll probably need a base coat and a top coat. Anyway, it is a really sweet spring colour and perfect for the sunny weather we're having.

I hope you enjoyed reading, please comment if you purchased any of these or already have them. Also leave a comment on what else you'd like to see on my blog as it helps me out a lot, thanks for reading!

Best Conditioner Ever?

Hello everyone, I know this is kind of a random post but I just had to tell you all about it, whether you've heard of it or not! It's the TRESemme Split Remedy Conditioner. I picked this up in Superdrug since I'd run out of conditioner, I liked the sound of it, as it says 'up to 80% reduction in split ends after 3 uses'. This is definitely no lie, my split ends get pretty bad and this just makes the ends of my hair feel like I've just had it cut. It leaves your hair so soft and silky, and the ends actually do feel repaired. From the conditioners I've used in the past that have said this, never really worked, so I was very surprised at this one. I do know that TRESemme have more products in this 'range', which I know for a fact I will be purchasing. I think they have shampoo, hair mask, serum, and treatment. I always seem to forget how good TRESemme is because I'll try different products but they definitely give the best results. Sorry if this was a random and slightly weird post but I just HAD to put it out there, I highly recommend this product and I think I'll be using this for a while. (This was not a sponsered post by the way, just me raving about it)! Thanks for reading, please comment if you go and purchase this and also tell me what else you'd like to see on my blog!

How To: Do A Messy Bun

Hello everyone, I'm sure you've probably read and seen many tutorials on how to do a messy bun. But I find that everyone has a different way of doing it. Therefore I am going to share with you how I do mine. (I do apologize for the horrible picture of my hair).

Step One: I like to have freshly washed hair before I do a messy bun, I know that sounds kind of weird but it seems to work better, especially if it isn't fully dry. Put salt spray or hair spray in your hair then tease it with a comb or brush, this makes it stay put a lot better.

Step Two: Gather your hair on the top of your head, either by tipping your head upside down and gathering it or any other way you prefer. Then start to twist your hair round into a bun shape until its all on the top of your head. Then secure it with a hair band.

Step Three: You're now free too make your bun as messy as you like! Pull the hair at the front of your head forward to make it loose, and you can also pull out a few hairs at the side of your head to make it even more messy. You can play around with your bun, if you want it extra messy just pull out a lot of hair and maybe tease it with a brush, and if you feel it needs securing more, take a thinner hair band and just tie that around it or use some bobby pins.

Step Four: Your messy bun should now be complete! You can use hair accessories to make it a bit more fancy, like I used a scrunchie but it can look just as good on its own.

I hope this helped you create your messy bun, please comment down below if you followed these steps and what else you'd like to see my on my blog. Thanks for reading!

Three Simple Spring Lip Products

Hello everyone, as the weather has got warmer and spring seems to have finally come, I decided I'd show you three of probably the most simple but lovely lip products you could wear in spring.
The three products are Baby Lips in Pink Punch, Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose and Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya.
First is the Baby Lips in Pink Punch, which I think is a really nice summery colour. I find baby lips so nice and easy to apply and wear, and they always leave your lips feeling so soft. The colour hasn't shown up to well on the photo, but it is the kind of typical 'barbie pink' colour I would say. Its a really simple colour to wear with whatever make up you've applied and I think it matches with it well, you can't really go wrong with this lip product. Throughout the day you will have to reapply it a few times though, as it does rub off quite easily. You can get this in boots for £2.99 which is super reasonable for the amount of product you get and how fabulous it is!
Next is the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose. I love this product because its so creamy and actually fits its name as a 'lip butter'. Its a very pale pink, and it smells delicious like raspberry sweets, its so tempting to lick it off your lips once you've put it on. Its really nice and easy to apply and leaves your lips feeling creamy and smooth. I sometimes like to apply this before I go to bed because you wake up with super soft lips, but you could also wear it in the day time as it has got a sweet pink colour too it. The same as the baby lips, I think you'll have to reapply this throughout the day because it comes off quite easily. You can get this for £2.10 in Boots, which again is so super reasonable.
Lastly the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya. Along with some of the other Revlon Lip Butters, this has to be my favorite! Its a peachy coral kind of colour, it does look less of a vibrant colour once its applied to your lips, where it looks soft and peachy. Again like the rest of them, it does leave your lips feeling so soft and creamy and I think that's why I love it so much. The colour is simple yet so effective for spring time and it just makes the rest of your make up look lovely. I saw that Tanya Burr has raved about this lip product in a few of her videos, and I agree with her about how amazing it really is. It is £7.99 in Boots, which is quite a bit more than the other two products, however I think it 100% worth it.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and please comment telling me what else you'd like to see.

Soap & Glory Solar Powder Review

Hello everyone, this is my first blog post and I hope you enjoy reading it and please comment on what other things you'd like to see and read about.

I decided I'd do a review on a make up product that i bought not that long ago, thinking it'd be amazing from other reviews but haven't felt like it's been that great.
Its the 'Soap & Glory Solar Powder'. I'm not sure whether £11 is reasonable for this product, I think maybe a bit less would be better. I love all the soap and glory packaging though and I think it looks so perfect from the outside. One thing however on the box it did say 'Highlighter/Bronzer' which is kind of misleading since it isn't really a highlighter, just a bronzer and powder.

In the pictures they do look slightly different colours, this is just the lighting and the second picture shows the colour of both of them a lot better. It also does originally come with a sort of shimmery purple powder covering the 'S&G' but comes off very easily and doesn't rub off on your face when you put the bronzer and powder on. I kind of found that both the bronzer and powder came out quite orange on my face and I really had to blend with another powder to make it look more natural, but after I'd done this it did seem to have quite a nice look too it.
On the back of the product it does say for 'Sun-kissed skin' which I don't think it gives you. It does have the slightest bit of shimmer in it somewhere as well, as I could kind of tell from some angles and different lights. It doesn't give you the proper 'sun-kissed' look you would imagine, but it may just be me.

Please comment if you've used this product and you think I'm wrong with all this, it was just my opinion but if I had to rate this out of 5 I'd probably give it maybe 3.5 or 4, so it isn't all that terrible and I will be using it, just maybe in different ways to make it work.
