May Favourites

Hello everyone, this month I don't actually have many favourites as I haven't really been shopping for anything 'beauty' related, bad I know. Anyway I have found some new products, and brought out some older ones.

So firstly, Batiste Dry Shampoo in cherry, I have had this for quite a while now, but recently been using it again. I have started washing my hair every other day, depending, and this dry shampoo really just gets me through and keeps my hair feeling soft and not greasy.

Secondly the Ted Baker Butterfly Wings Body Spray, I have three of these sprays because they smell so damn good. Perfume is so expensive, whereas body sprays not so much, and this acts probably just as well as a perfume. The smell is lovely and you can smell it pretty much all day, which is super good and it's not expensive at all!

Now the next one has just been my savior this month! The Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Anti-Blemish Moisturiser. For starts, the smell of this is so fresh, it isn't oily whats so ever, but kind of watery. It feels so good on your skin, really refreshing. It's perfect for any dry skin, and fixes that within a few uses. Also keeps blemishes and spots away, it really says what it does, I would recommend this to anyone!

Finally, everyone has probably heard of this and seen about a million posts about it but I jumped on the bandwagon and bought this and it truly is amazing and super refreshing on your skin. The best cleanser I've ever used by far and so much better than using make up wipes!

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed reading and finding out what my favourites have been this month! Comment what you've been loving and any suggestions on things!

Beauty Wishlist 2

Hello everyone, so I posted a 'Beauty Wishlist' not very long ago and to be honest, haven't bought very much from it. Anyway, since I'm always finding and wanting new make up, I decided to make another one! You've probably heard of all of these things and so on, but I would just really like to try these all out.

Benefit High Beam: I've wanted this for AGES, and obviously it's not a new product of Benefit's. I've heard great reviews on this and I'm desperate for a really good highlighter.

Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder: I'm not exactly in need of a new powder, but I saw this in Zoella's video and it looks really good and I'd love to try it out. The down thing with this is that it's £20, which is pricey for a powder!

Rimmel Apocalips: I would really love this in the colour 'Stellar' which is a lovely sort of neutral pink shade. I've seen mixed reviews on these but I'd love to give it a try.

Tanya Burr Nails in Peaches and Cream: I really want a nude nail polish and Tanya's nail collection looks so good and the nail polish's look so glossy and shiny, I have to give one a try.

Tanya Burr Nails in Little Duck: Again I think the colour of this nail polish is gorgeous and would love to have it for the summer time.

Mac Pigment in Vanilla: I'm desperate for this, Tanya featured it in one of her make up tutorials and it honestly looks amazing. I've read good things about the Mac Pigments and I can tell this would be put to good use, even if it is expensive at £17.

Garnier BB Cream: I've also heard such good things about this BB cream, and that it gives you really dewy looking skin and is not to heavy at all.

L'Oreal Super Liner: I've heard this is a really good eye liner, and I'm in desperate need of a new one because I haven't purchased one in ages!

Thanks for reading, tell me your opinions on any of these products and if you've used them.

How To: Daisy Nail Art

Hello everyone, I really want to start doing a 'How To' Friday's, with a different thing every Friday. Anyway, this week I've decided to do some nail art. I know the photo isn't very good, as it's very hard to take a good focused picture one handed! One other thing, I promise you the daisy looks so much better in real life than in the picture, as its close up you can see too much detail, if that makes sense? Anyway I'll carry on with it!

For this nail art I used the nail polishes, Papaya by BarryM, Want a Lemon by H&M, and Snow Me White by Sinful Colors.

Step One: So, firstly you'll want to apply the colour you want to use on all your nails. In my case, Papaya by BarryM. Obviously you can choose which ever colour you want, but I decided this would fit with the
theme of spring/summer and daisies!

Step Two: I have used the brush on the left, the one covered in yellow nail varnish, to put the dot in the middle of my daisy. I purchased a set of 15 nail art brushes off eBay for 99p. I know many would be put of that they're 99p but let me tell you, they are amazing! So worth getting in my opinion.

Step Three: You don't really have to wait until your yellow dot in the middle is dry, so then you take a smaller and finer brush to draw out your petals. The brush covered in white on the right. Gently swipe it along to make petal shapes, then leave it too dry.

Step Four: And there you have it! I have only done this on my thumb, but of course you could do it on each nail. I have to warn you, the opposite hand to which you write with is a lot harder too do, so make sure you have a steady hand when doing it! haha.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a go at trying to do a daisy type nail art. Please comment if you tried this and what else you'd like to see on my blog and I'll be doing some more posts on requests.

Miss Manga vs. The Falsies

Hello everyone, I don't know if a post like this has been done before, probably has but I kinda made it up! haha. Anyway, I wanted to compare the Miss Manga mascara and The Falsies mascara.

I think these are two rather similar mascaras. So let me get started off with the volume of the mascaras. Both are 'mega volume' mascaras, but from using both I have to say Miss Manga does give better volume. However, The Falsies doesn't clump up half as much on your lashes, whereas Miss Manga does. I find clumpy mascara very annoying and hard to control, but with the applicator on Miss Manga it is quite an easy fix, as the applicator starts off thick then gets smaller. Which is perfect for getting those smaller lashes in the corners of your eyes. The applicator on The Falsies is curved, which is also very helpful when applying mascara as your lashes curve. I'd have to say neither of the applicators are perfect, but both good enough to apply mascara well.

Personally I think Miss Manga lasts 100x better than The Falsies. As some may know, The Falsies does tend to run quite a bit and leave black marks under and above your eyes. However, Miss Manga doesn't seem to run at all and stays put all day long, and your lashes stay big and full of volume.

So all in all, I personally think Miss Manga wins between these two purely because it stays put all day long, the applicator works better and the volume is amazing!

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed reading, please comment what else you'd like to see!

Seventeen Cheek Stamp Blush

Hello everyone, sorry its been a while, I guess I've just been enjoying the weather while it lasts and had school work to do etc. Anyway, this post is about something I purchased a few weeks ago and have been loving! The seventeen cheek stamp blush in shade Blushing.

They have 5 different shades of blush in this cheek stamp, all £4.99 from Boots. I picked this shade purely because it was bright and summery. The way it works is the blusher is inside the 'lid' of the packaging and then the stamp on the other side. Inside the stamp is a spring, which obviously means you can get some blusher onto the sponge stamp. There is only one slight error in this product, and that is that stamp can get a bit stiff and even break pretty easily. It's not to difficult to fix but just annoying and really it shouldn't be breaking, but for £4.99 I'm not sure you can complain too much.

How I use it is just get some blusher onto the sponge then lightly stamp it onto my cheek, maybe twice. Then I just use a blush brush to blend it out and up to the tops of my cheeks. If you think it's to bright then you can always go over the top with some powder and blend it in.

Overall I think this is a very decent product, and the colour is super gorgeous! It also stays on through out most of the day I have found. Would recommend this if you're wanting a more summery blush for the summer time!

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it and please comment what else you'd like to see and if you've ever used this product before.

OOTD: Tea Party

Hello everyone, I've finally got round to doing an OOTD post! Yesterday I went to a 'tea party', which a friend did for her birthday. It was a floral theme which of course I love and I went out and bought this dress for it. I bought it from the shop 'Select', which is a new shop in the town near to where I live. It's actually a really nice shop with reasonably priced stuff, I'd recommend it if you have one near you. Anyway, the dress is a size 8, tshirt type dress with just a lovely daisy print all the way down. The collar is my favourite part of it, its just plain white (as you can see), and its the same on both sides if that makes sense? haha.

This is just a close up of the print for you all because I think it is just gorgeous! Daisy print seems too really be a thing this spring/summer time which makes me happy because I looove daisy print its so pretty.

I paired the dress with my white converse because I don't actually own a pair of heels or anything. So I also had to add my plain white frilly socks of course, these are about the only socks I ever wear. I think this pair were from Primark but as you know Topshop sell them also. I then purchased a flower crown headband from Select, it was half price and its just so pretty. I'll definitely be wearing this a lot in summer. Finally my sunglasses which are from Primark. I really wanted a pair like this from Urban Outfitters, but they're £16 and the ones I got from Primark were £2 and they're very similar so it kind of made sense to get the £2 ones. I think these kind of complete the summery look.

And there we have it! I hope you enjoyed this post and it maybe gave you some inspiration! Sorry there isn't a picture of me in the dress, I'm awkward and yeah sorry about that but please comment if you liked any of the things I've shown, and what else you'd like to see on my blog! Thanks for reading!

A Few Things Floral

Hello everyone, now don't even ask where I'm going with this post because I don't even know, hopefully it'll be good and you'll enjoy it?! Anyway, I decided I'd do another spring kind of themed post, this one based on floral patterns. I've got a few items from my room that have floral patters and are just so cute for the spring time! So I hope if anything you get some inspiration from this post to go and buy some floral print stuff!

The first two things I'm going to start with is my bedding. My duvet is from Next (from the childrens section may I add) but it's so adorable! I'm sure a lot of you will have seen the floral rose print bedding from Ikea? Well anyway it's similar too that, maybe more expensive at £28, that's for a single anyway, but i love it. Also my throw at the end of my bed, its so fluffy like wow, and it matches my duvet almost! I got this from Tesco, which I cannot find anywhere online but I'm sure there is many more just like this!

My cushion, which has 4 different floral fabrics on. I actually made this myself in Textiles at school. I just brought the fabrics in 'fat quarters', which is reasonably cheap, and patch worked them together on a sewing machine. It was really simple and I think it looks really nice! If you would like a post on this and more about how I did it, let me know in the comments please.

Next my sunglasses, I really like this style of sunglasses and the print around the edge is even more adorable. I purchased these from Primark I think last year, so they most likely won't be selling them anymore. But so many other shops have sunglasses just like these, and I think they're perfect for the spring time. I have to say these sunglasses do break quite easily though so you have to be careful.

I know this is a really random one but my floral print toothpaste mug thing, whatever you want to call it. I got this like the other week in Dunelm Mill. Nothing much I can say about this one, except it was really cheap and does the job nicely! It also makes your bathroom look ready for spring, if thats possible?

My 'LOVE' room decoration thing. I have this in my room all year round anyway, as it sits on my windowsill but it had to be included. I think this is from Cargo? I had it for my birthday. Anyway there are like a million of these sorts of things hanging around in shops, so I thought I'd include this into the post.

The floral print makeup bag/purse type thing. I also got this from Primark, I think they may still do this? Anyway, I think it's perfect for anything you just want to tuck away and put in your bag. Like make up or toiletry type products, and it looks super pretty!

Cath Kidston hand cream, this stuff smells so good! The packaging is adorable, as is all Cath Kidston products, and works wonders. Your hands will feel so super soft after using this, honestly. I can't seem to find this exact one anywhere online though, but I know there are some extremely similar products.

The floral socks are from Primark, yet again oops sorry! Everyone has seemed to copy Topshop's frilly socks since they came out last year but Primark seem to have some pretty cool ones, like these. I think these socks look cute with white converse, or just under low cut boots.

Finally the Juicy Lucy notebook. This is a really random one, as I hardly use notebooks, but I dug this one out to write down ideas for things, like this blog. I think notebooks come in handy any time and this is just a plain and cute flowery one!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I know it was random and maybe not to everyone's taste? Any how, I love floral print and I hope you got inspiration to buy anything with a floral design this spring! Thanks for reading.

Face of The Day

Hello everyone, first of all I want to say sorry for not posting as frequently as when I started off this blog. School kind of gets in the way a lot, with revision and homework etc. I'm trying to post more, and also trying my hardest to fit in a fashion post some when, as it seems most of my posts are beauty related. If any of you do read my blog regularly, then I hope this has cleared up a few small things. Also one other thing about this post, this may look like a lot of make up too you, or it may look like a very minimal amount of make up. However, this is just what I like to use, this isn't my every day make up either, I do swap it around depending on what I'm doing.

What I start off with is my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in 'Ivory', originally this isn't the concealer I was going for, but Superdrug and Boots had ran out of the Collection concealer that I normally use, so I opted for this one and I have to say I'm really impressed!

After I've done my concealer, I go for my foundation. I swap between two foundations at the moment, but today I went for my Rimmel True Match Perfection Foundation in 'Ivory'. I'm sure everyone has heard sooo much about this foundation, but it's just the best, especially for only £6.99, it has such good coverage and as long as you get the correct colour, it doesn't make you look orange what so ever!

Next I just apply my pressed powder to set my foundation with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 'Warm Beige', (I see a theme with Rimmel products here oops)! I've literally been using this powder forever, it's just my favourite and you can't go wrong with it!

After I take my Soap and Glory Solar Powder and use my Real Techniques Blush Brush and lightly just 'dust' that on my cheeks and up onto my forehead. I did do a review of this, saying I wasn't sure about it as it came out very orange, but now I've grown to like it a lot, you just have to use it correctly. I blend this in after with a tiny bit more powder too make sure I'm not looking like an orange!

Moving onto the eyes now, I used my MUA eye shadow pallet, using the matte brown colour as a base then the silver shimmer over the top. I did this using my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. I love this pallet as you can see in my 'MUA Smokey Eyes' post!

Now for eye liner, I don't usually use a liquid eye liner but today I was going for something different. I used the Topshop Liner eyeliner. I brought this quite a long time ago now, and they don't seem to do it at Topshop anymore. However they have improved versions of this. I still really like it, as its not too heavy and is easy to rub off if you make mistakes, it's definitely affordable too.

Then I just apply my Miss Manga mascara, which I recently brought. I was using The Falsies before, but this was new and it looked exciting. I've been so impressed with it, and it gives volume to your lashes like no other! This also featured in my April favourites post, so you can check that out also!

Finally on the eyes is just a black eye liner which I just apply to my water line. I know mine looks super tacky and horrible and yes I have had it for quite a long time but it still does the trick very well! I'm not even sure where this is from but there is still a lot of it left and I don't see the point in buying a new one yet!

Last but not least is lips! Today I have gone for the Rimmel Lasting Colour Rush Balm in Rumor Has It. I haven't seen many posts or anything on these but honestly they are just amazing! They stay on all day even with drinking and eating. I just really recommend this too anyone its just too good, and the colour is gorgeous!

Thankyou for reading, I hope you enjoyed and it wasn't too long! Comment if you use any of these and what else you'd like to see on my blog.

April Favourites

Hello everyone, as April is now over I thought I'd share what I've been enjoying this month!

Vaseline Coco Butter Lip Therapy- I've had this for quite a while now, but recently I've just started using it before I go to bed. I just apply it too my lips then in the morning your lips should feel 100% repaired (if they were dry) and they'll be super soft!

BarryM Texture Nail Paint in Ridley Road- I purchased this last summer, but only wore it once. I was looking for a nice spring colour over Easter and I thought this was perfect. It's such a nice bright colour, and I think the 'texture' of it is really nice.

Rimmel London I 'Heart' Lasting Finish in Purple Pulse- This colour is so lovely and bright, the purple is almost like the colour of berries and the quality of it is amazing, would really recommend this nail varnish.

Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya- I have posted about this product in one of my other posts, I literally can't get enough of the Revlon Lip Butters, they're amazing and this colour is perfect for the spring time!

TRESemme Split Remedy Conditioner- I also posted about this AMAZING product, I know it's kind of a boring one but it's so amazing and it's actually repaired my split ends and makes my hair super soft!

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara- I've seen so many posts on this mascara as it's quite new, I know there has been mixed reviews, but personally I LOVE it! It actually gives my lashes volume and it stays on so well! One of my favourites this month.

Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush- I've had this since Christmas, but I've recently just been relying on it so much as I've started to use more eye shadows. It's so perfect for putting on your base eye shadow and its fabulous for blending too.

Rimmel London Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil- I've never had a white eye liner until this, I thought I'd try one out. I think it can make your eyes look bigger, and brighter. I've enjoyed this product and it sort of works well for spring make up.

Thankyou for reading and I hope you enjoyed it please comment your April favourites as I'd like to hear about them!
