Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner | My Opinion

Monday, 26 January 2015

I have seen SO many mixed reviews on this product, that I wasn't sure what to expect with this. I definitely am not an eyeliner girl as I find it so difficult to apply. However that all changed once I'd tried this gem! Personally I love this to bits, but so many people seemed to hate it, and for what reason I'm not exactly sure. For me, who attempted eyeliner many times and failed, when using this and almost getting it spot on first try was such an accomplishment.

I'm going to go on a little rave about this now because I've never found an eyeliner so good, so please excuse me, haha. I prefer the tip of this compared to other eye liners, because you can really make an accurate line because it fits the shape of your eye. I'd read/heard many people say you can't get a thin line with this, only a thick one, however I have managed to create a perfectly thin line with this that doesn't show too much. I also adore the formulation of this, but it really doesn't come off for anything, it takes a while to take off in the evenings, but I think thats the only slight downside this product. But apart from that I don't think you can go wrong with this, I'd especially recommend it to people just starting out with eye liner, because its one that's difficult to go wrong with!

The Flawless Looking Skin Combo

Thursday, 22 January 2015

I'm finally back after 10 days I think its been? I've been super busy with school work & I've been poorly but I'm determined to keep posting as much as I can! Also thankyou for 30 followers on Bloglovin', that may seem like nothing to some people but to know 30 people enjoy what I'm doing makes me so happy and I hope more people continue to follow me on my little blog. So today I have two products that I've been LOVING together lately, that just gives such a flawless effect to your skin, I hope you enjoy!

The Body Shop InstaBlur - I was never one to use primer after a bad experience with Maybelline Baby Skin, which made me break out and make my skin feel horrible. However, I still really wanted to try a primer because I think it keeps makeup on so much better, so I opted for InstaBlur after hearing so many good reviews. I just use a small amount across T-Zone, which obviously includes my nose, under my eyes are just across the bottom of my forehead. I find this works particularly well on my nose and actually has really helped control oiliness and also dryness; I have such combination skin its hard to keep up with it! I also feel this gives a flawless finish when I add my makeup and helps it to stay all day. Such an amazing product.

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer - I do only have the mini version of this, because I got 'The Best of Benefit' box for Christmas. However, this concealer does wonders on covering up blemishes! I get quite a lot of redness when I have a spot/blemish and this helps to disguise the redness and make my skin tone look even. I also get really dark circles under my eyes and the outer corners of my eyes; I don't use this under my eyes because I feel its just a bit too creamy for that, but its perfect for the small outer corners of my eyes to cover up the darkness! I find this to stay on pretty much all day as well, and have used it every day with no trouble. I definitely plan to buy this beauty once I've run
out!

2 Healthy and Simple Smoothies

Sunday, 11 January 2015

One of my goals/aims for this year was to start being more healthy. Quite cliche I know. However, to help me do this I received a smoothie maker for Christmas which I was so happy about; since then I've basically made some sort of smoothie every day. So I have two of my favourites to share here, I hope you enjoy and get to try them out!

Mango & Strawberry Smoothie

You will need:
  • 1 Mango (Pre cut frozen mango is also fine, its what I personally use)
  • Strawberries (Again, frozen strawberries work perfectly too)
  • Orange Juice (Or water if you'd prefer it more healthy)
If you have a fresh mango, cut it up into small squares so it blends easier. If you're using frozen mango, this is usually already been cut so you will just need to put that into the blender straight away. The same goes for strawberries, if you're using fresh ones then cut the tops of and cut them into smaller chunks. If you're using frozen, you can chuck them straight in. Once you've put both the mango and strawberries into the blender, then add either water or orange juice, which ever you'd prefer. There is no specific amount to use for either fruit, just as much as you think you will want. One tip however; if your blender doesn't work well with ice, you may want to defrost the frozen fruit before using.

My Take On A Green Smoothie

You will need:
  • 1 Kiwi
  • Kale (about a handful or two)
  • Mango
  • Cucumber
  • Apple Juice (or water if prefered)
I'd seen a lot of green smoothie recipes around, and I just wasn't sure I'd like the taste of any of them. So I made up my own. I think this tastes really nice because of the added mango and kiwi, which over powers the cucumber and kale. I only added less than a quarter of cucumber, and about two handfuls of kale. Then a whole kiwi, and about two handfuls of mango. You can change this to how much you think you'd prefer. I think this is really good for you, and really easy to make. Again, you can use frozen mango or fresh mango either is fine. The rest of the ingredients I used were fresh. Just for preference, I use the Breville Blend Active blender which was from Amazon, I'd really recommend it, its so good. I hope you enjoy these recipes and let me know if you tried any!

2014 Skincare Favourites

Sunday, 4 January 2015

Happy new year everyone! I love reading through what people loved over 2014, so I decided to share what my favourite skincare products were over the past year! These things have all helped my skin a lot, and I would recommend them all. Lets get started!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - I'm sure everybody on  the face of the earth has heard about this product. This stuff has saved my poor skin and rescued me from make up wipes! Its what I've used through out most the year and I'm going to be continuing to use this throughout 2015!

T-Zone Pore Strips - I used these strips up quite a while ago now and forgot to re purchase them, but when they are just the best thing. I'm sure everybody has heard of pore strips, but I haven't seen many people talk about them. They take out all the bad stuff stuck in your pores, you just place them across your nose and leave them on for about 10 minutes, then when you peel it off the horrible stuff in your pores should be gone! Loved these.

Quick Fix Purifying Charcoal  Face Mask - I have featured this on my blog previously but this face mask is my favourite. Its basically a dupe of the sanctuary spa charcoal face mask. The main thing I love about this face mask is how soft and smooth your skin feels after taking it off. It really gets rid of all the gross bits of skin hanging around on your face. Such a good one.

Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll On - I can't rave enough about this little gem. This is the first tube I've had and I'm still using it, I think I've had if since about June? Anyway, this has really helped my under eye dark circles and also to depuff them. Its so cheap as well, I'd recommend this to anybody who suffers with dark circles.

Whats been your favourite skincare products of 2014?
