Nivea Fruity Shine Watermelon

I believe this is a newish edition to the drugstore, the Nivea Fruity Shines. I saw this featured in one of Gabby's (velvetgh0st) video, and it caught my eye. I'm all for drugstore budget buys, and I wanted to give this a try. For the tiny price of £1.66 you can't really go wrong. I have mine in watermelon, but I believe they also have peach, cherry and strawberry.

This reminds me quite a lot of the Maybelline Baby Lips, but slightly nicer in my opinion. Its just a sheer tinted lip balm that really moisturizes your lips. Its not an addictive lip balm either, if that makes any sense, haha. I mean, you don't want to keep re applying it every 5 minutes! It gives the perfect amount of shine to the lips and I think this will be a staple lip balm in the summer time. Its great when you don't want to wear a lipstick, however it still gives you a slight tint.

Have you tried the Nivea Fruity Shines?

5 Ways To Use Decorative Tape

Decorative tape, or washi tape, has been very popular recently and I've really been loving it! I thought I'd share a few ways in which I've used decorative tape, and how it can really brighten any boring object and make it look fancy!

1. Using it to decorate a scrapbook - This year I decided I'd start a scrapbook to keep all my memories in one place. I've stuck photos down using my decorative tape, which just makes it look that extra bit cute!
2. Decorating a jar - Decorative tape is perfect for wrapping around a plain glass jar to brighten it up! If you have an old jam jar or even just a clear acrylic jar you can spice it up a bit by using some of this. Its great because you can make it unique so nobody else will have the same.
3. Sticking posters/notes onto your wall - Now its coming up to exams I may use this idea, sticking notes onto your walls! If you have any revision notes and you want to make them look that little bit nicer, use decorative tape! You can even stick posters up using it to make it look that little bit prettier.
4. Decorate your pencils - School supplies are never very exciting, so to brighten up your pencil case why not wrap some decorative tape around some pencils? Get different patterns and colours and get wrapping.
5. Decorate your phone charger - This is one of my favourites, this is such a cute idea! This not only makes it look pretty, but your charger differentiates from everybody elses! This will help you from loosing it, and it'll look unique!

How have you used decorative tape?

Go-To Spring Outfit

Its coming up to spring time now, which I am more than happy about and I've been buying clothes more appropriate for the spring/summer time! I wanted to share with you two of my favourite purchases that I'll probably spend a lot of the warmer months in.

So the first thing was a very different buy for me, I wouldn't usually go for something like this; but I really wanted to try something new and different. These are my brand new pair of Mom jeans. I got these from asos, and they were actually in the sale for £24, which I was so happy about because I think thats really cheap for a pair of jeans. I was a bit hesitant before buying these however because I didn't think it was likely they would fit. But they fit me perfectly and I find them really flattering compared to other Mom jeans I've tried in the past. They're a slim fitted type of Mom jean which makes all the difference for me, and I'm in love with them. I think more people should try out a different style of jean, as you never know what might suit you!

My other go-to item is my pair of slip on canvas shoes from Matalan. These were a complete bargain for £10! I was so impressed that I had to get them. I'd wanted a pair of these shoes for a while but wasn't sure if they suited me, but these go so well with the Mom jeans. I feel like these will be a popular style of shoe this spring/summer, along with the Mom jeans. They're very comfy and are really casual and easy to wear with basically anything.

What will your go-to outfit be this spring/summer time?

Everyday School Makeup Look

I've enjoyed doing my makeup for school recently so I thought I'd share what I've been using to create a very simple and subtle look that I'm sure you could wear out of school too. Most of the products are drugstore so are very affordable. Hope you enjoy!

Firstly I use my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation, this is probably my all time favourite foundation. It glides on so easily so its perfect for a morning where you might be rushing to get ready but still want good coverage for school. I really enjoy using this. After this I go in under my eyes with Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer, and then Benefit Boi-ing concealer on any spots I have. I really like both of these because they're so amazing at covering any imperfections and also dark cirlces without being heavy and cakey. To set the foundation and concealer I use Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I like wearing a subtle eye shadow and for this I use my No7 Eyeshadow, I believe this is in the shade mink? I could be wrong however. Its a purply, pink, brown shade. It has a slight shimmer, but is very quick and easy to apply with minimal blending needed. I think its such a pretty every day colour and lasts a very long time! After I go and curl my eyelashes with Boots Eyelash Curlers, very standard but I think its important to curl your eyelashes as it makes your mascara apply better and makes your eye lashes look longer. After this I go and put my Benefit Roller Lash on, which gives your lashes such length and stays all day. Finally after that I go through my brows with Maybelline Brow Drama, just to give a slight tint to my eyebrows as I don't fill them in for school. They also just hold them in place nicely.

Sighh Designs Phone Case Review

I've planned to do a post on this phone case for a very long time now, and I think this is a good time to talk about it! This is a phone case from Sighh Designs, and I bought this back in August. I can't rave enough about this phone case, definitely the best one I've EVER bought. The picture above is one I took recently, and that is the state it is in 7 months after buying it. It looks brand new. The quality is absolutely amazing and I've never seen a phone case with such good quality. Also the designs are adorable, I love my watermelon one its so unique and cute. I just wanted to give a special mention to this phone case and Sighh Designs because I think they're an amazing little online shop with really reasonable prices on their things!

Do you own anything from Sighh Designs?

The Cream Highlight Edit

I have two cream highlights in my make up collection, and two very different ones at that. I thought I'd share my thoughts on these two very popular highlights and how I feel about them! I hope you enjoy.

The first one, the Topshop Glow highlight. Which is the swatch on the left. I bought this quite a while back now because I was in desperate need of a cream highlight and I'd seen many good things about this. Its an extremely yellow toned highlight as you can see compared to the Benefit one. It has quite a thick consistency but also feels very light, if that makes any sense! I find this blends really easily when on your cheeks due to the lightness of it. It gives a really lovely glow to your cheek, and also a bit of warmth to because of the yellow tones. Now onto Benefit High Beam, a highlight thats been around for years. This is a complete opposite to Topshop Glow, whereas it is very pink toned as you can see from the swatch on the right. Personally I prefer this one, as I think a pink toned highlight suits me better. I prefer the packaging for this also, as its got a small brush to apply straight onto your face; whereas the Topshop Glow is in a pot and you have to try and get the right amount on your finger and it can get a bit fiddly. Overall I prefer Benefit High Beam, but both are extremely good highlights.

Small Mac Lipstick Collection

I know you could barely call this a 'collection' with the grand number of three, haha. Nethertheless I wanted to share the Mac lipsticks that I do own, as I love them a lot! I think two of shades I own are quite popular ones, which I have seen blogged about many times.

From left to right, the first one is the shade Sunny Seoul. This is a very light pinky shade, with blue undertones. This is a cremesheen lipstick, so its quite sheer on the lips and very creamy. Its a very natural colour and nice to wear with minimal make up. It doesn't stay on very long however, since its a cremesheen, I think it slides off the lips quite easily, but still such a pretty shade. In the middle, is the shade Russian Red. Probably a cult classic, so many people love this lipstick. It is definitely my favourite red that I own, and the most pigmented. Its a darkish red colour, that really is red. Its a matte formula so it stays put on your lips all day through anything, a cup of tea, your lunch etc. Its perfect for day wear, and also in the evening. Such a gorgeous colour. Lastly on the end, is Plumful. Out of all three I have to say this is my absolute favourite. Its a purple/plum colour and I'm sure this would suit anybody. Its a lustre formula, which is probably in between a cremesheen and matte formula. Anyway, this lipstick goes with any make up look and is just your lips but 10x better. Such an amazing shade and would recommend this to everybody!

Skincare Routine

I don't think I have ever posted my full skincare routine, so I thought now would be a great time to share it with you! I want to point out now that I don't use any 'high end' skincare products, only drugstore brands. I've not yet felt the need to really branch out and pay a lot of money for skincare, I'll wait until I'm a bit older for that, haha.

So first of all, make up remover/cleansing water. I use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water; which I'm sure everybody will have seen featured on blogs for a very long time now. I'm on my second bottle of this stuff, and I must have been using it for over six months now. It lasts a long time, which I love. I also love how nicely it takes off my make up, even the toughest of eye make up. It doesn't irritate my eyes or skin at all like make up wipes used to do, so all in all amazing. Secondly face wash/cleanser. I've recently changed this, to the Nivea Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. So far so good with this product, its just like any other facial wash gel really. I have noticed that my skin feels super soft after using this however, which I find to be a big plus! After using facial wash I go onto toner. For this I use Lush Tea Tree Water. I don't use this every day, just a few times a week. I sprits this all over my face and it helps with keeping spots away and things, which is what tea tree is known for. I think this really works and I love using it. After this I go in with my Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll On. This is just an eye gel that you roll under your eyes to get rid of puffy and tired eyes. This has really helped to counteract my dark circles and feels very refreshing too. This has lasted me a very long time as well. Finally, moisturizer. I am DESPERATELY searching for a new lightweight moisturizer thats good for combination skin, if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! However, for now I'm using the Nivea Creme. I currently use this on the driest patches on my face as I don't have a moisturizer suitable to put on my whole face. But I find this does a really good job at hydrating and making dry patches okay.

What do you use in your skincare routine?

February Favourites

February has come and gone so quickly, crazy. I've had a few new favourites this month that I'd like to share with you all! Also, sorry for the quality of the picture I was playing around with the ISO on my camera and I didn't have time to take another picture; so had to use this one! Anyway lets get on with it.

Galaxy Ripple - A food favourite of this month. I've been kind of addicted to chocolate this month! Galaxy has been my favourite and I've had a little stash of these hidden in my room which I've been eating most of the month, oops!

Mac Paint Pot in Frozen Violet - I did a blog post on this here. Its just the most gorgeous dark purply brown shade, and it stays on all day long which is the best part really! Perfect for every day wear or evening wear, just loved it.

Benefit Roller Lash - A new launch for Benefit this month, and a really good one too. I got a sample in Elle magazine, which I think you can still get this month. I have worn this mascara pretty much every day since I got it, its perfect and gives the lashes so much length I love it. I also did a blog post on it here

Vaseline in Cocoa Butter - This has been my favourite for months now anyway, I use this before I go to bed so I wake up with super soft lips. Such a simple and cheap product but such a good one that I couldn't live without.

TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray - I always use this before straightening my hair and its so amazing. I'd gone off using heat defence sprays as the last one I used, used to make my hair go all sticky and horrible when I used it. But this is so good, it makes your hair feel so smooth and soft after you've straightened it and I think helps to keep your hair straight for longer!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer - I know this only a sample, but I am definitely planning on purchasing the real thing! I've needed this more than anything to warm up my face since I'm SO pale this time of the year, just really been loving this.

Sleek Blush in Pomegranate - I've owned this blush for ages now, but rediscovered my love for it this month. Its a dark pink with a hint of shimmer in it, and I've really been loving it to warm and brighten up my cheeks!

Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush - Not much to say about this one, just been one of my staple eye brushes most of the month and since I've owned it really! Such a good one for multi use, eye shadow, concealer, anything!

Whats been your favourites this past month?
