Autumn/Winter Asos Wishlist

Asos is quickly becoming one of my most visited website - I can't help myself. Theres so much I would love from there this A/W so I thought I'd share what I'm loving!

I've been looking for  a coat like this for such a long time and this one is an absolute steal. Originally at £50 but now down to £37.50, whats not to love? I also love the colour of this a really lovely dark grey. Perfect for a stylish autumnal outfit.

02. Asos Long Sleeve Top in Stripe with Pocket | £14
If I've never mentioned before, I kind of have an addiction to striped clothing. I love this top, it looks perfect for casual days at home or going for a walk layered with a chunky winter coat.

03. First & I Roll Neck Jumper with Pocket Detail | £18
I looove cream/white chunky knit jumpers, I think they can look so sophisticated and classy. Especially this one due to the roll neck, super cosy for a/w.

04. Asos Denim A-Line Pinafore Dress In Washed Black | £30
Pinafore dresses seem to be one of the in things right now and personally I'm loving it. I think this one would look lovely paired with a thin jumper, tights and boots.

05. Lola May Shearling Bomber Jacket | £50
Something a little more pricey but oh my gosh can we appreciate this jacket, so super fluffy and warm. This would love lovely with a little denim a-line skirt.

06. Asos Jumper in Stripe With High Neck In Chenille | £24.50
Didn't I say I loved stripes? Oh and also chunky knit jumpers haha. This one is so gorgeous, I could see myself really wrapping up warm in this, this winter!

07. New Look Petite A Line Suedette Mini Skirt | £17.99
I'd previously tried this on but the size didn't fit me. But luckily I found it in petite so maybe I'll try again. I love skirts and suede seems to be the new in thing. Lovely colour for autumn too.

08. Asos Grid Print Shirt | £32
I'm always a sucker for an oversized shirt, and I thought this was a bit of a change from the typical checked flannel shirt. I really like the colour of this too.

Have you been loving anything from Asos recently?

Apple & Cinnamon Crumble

Its that time of the year where its acceptable to eat as much apple and cinnamon flavoured things as you like (well for me anyway) haha. I decided to make an apple & cinnamon crumble the other day and thought I'd share the recipe, enjoy!

75g butter (softened)
1 big cooking apple
200g flour
75g sugar

Once you have measured out all of your ingredients you're going to want to take a small bit of butter on some kitchen towel and wipe it around the container you're using for your crumble. This is so it doesn't stick. After that you'll want to cut up your apple. Make sure you have an apple that'll fit about 3/4 or a bit less of the way to the top of the container. Note you'll need to cut them into thin slices too. After you have cut your apple and placed it in your container, add a spoonful of sugar over the top and also as much or as little cinnamon as you wish. Once this is done, pour your sugar, flour and butter into a mixing bowl. This is kind of the fun part, you have to mix it all together with your hands. Use your fingers to crumble it all together until it looks like the last picture above. Then pour/sprinkle it over the top of the apple right to the top. The more the better in my opinion! Then if you like add some more cinnamon on top of that. I only did a tiny amount. Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes or longer if needed on Gas Mark 6 or 7. I'm not that sure on the fahrenheit/celsius conversions but they will be online somewhere. I really hope you enjoy making this and it works out well!

What are your favourite things to bake in Autumn?

A Few Of My Favourite Blogs

There are so many amazing blogs around these days - but theres a handful I find myself reading daily or looking out for when they post! Here are 5 of my favourites at the moment.

01. Sick Chick Chic - I've followed Josie's blog for quite a while now and I just love it. Josie suffers with Cystic Fibrosis which I believe is one of the main reasons she started her blog, to raise awareness for it, and I think thats really great. Alongside this, she writes fashion and lifestyle posts. Her outfits are always on point, I absolutely love her style. If you're not already following Josie's blog, I recommend you do so straight away!

02. Maddy Cane - I think Maddy's blog was one of the first I followed, her beautiful photography drew me in and her writing style is amazing. Theres a bit of everything thrown into Maddy's blog, beauty, lifestyle, fashion etc. To be honest, her whole blog is just pleasing on the eye and I know you'll love it if you're into your beauty and lifestyle posts.

03. A Little Of Lucy - If you love yourself a dose of beauty then you're going to love Lucy's blog. She's such a lovely and genuine girl who definitely deserves more credit for her amazing blogging skills. I always love seeing her new post pop up on my Bloglovin' and know I'm going to really enjoy whatever she has written.

04. Lipstick Full Of Optimism - Courtney's blog is one I've loved for a very long time. Her posts always intrigue me and I find she always has something new to write about. If you love high end beauty then Courtney's blog is a great place to go. Her reviews are fabulous and I adore her writing style. Not to mention she's such a lovely girl also, so go on over and give her blog a follow!

05. Robowcop - Slightly obsessed with Rhianna's blog. She writes about everything from beauty to lifestyle. I always find her posts to be quite unique and a pleasure to read. I particular love her posts such as '11 ways to feel happier right now' and her Lush Christmas haul. Theres something for everyone on her blog and I love how aesthetically pleasing her photos and blog layout is.

These are just a small handful of blogs that I adore, I will probably post another one of these in the future featuring many more blogs that I read on a daily/weekly basis!

Some Old Favourites

I have a few of my old favourite makeup products to show today, ones that I've used for years mostly. Thought I'd talk about them a bit, enjoy!

I must admit when I first bought this I wasn't a fan - but I stuck with it and kept using it and now it has become my all time favourite bronzer. Its very subtle and gives you a lovely healthy glow if you use the right amount. I haven't even hit pan on this and I've had it for about a year now. This does actually have new packaging now which is much more sturdy but I love this nonetheless.

One of the best drugstore foundations in my opinion, I feel as though its quite hard for a drugstore foundation to be up to a great standard but this just does it for me. It gives quite a dewy look, without sliding off your face throughout the day. Its not at all caky and they have a pretty decent shade range. A foundation I will always love and go back to.

I apologise for the state that this powder is in, clearly well loved. Anyway this was one of the first makeup products I used - one of my favourites. A simple pressed powder that works wonders at keeping your face matte throughout the day. Although I love my Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder; this one is just as good and at a much cheaper price. I'd say if you were looking for a matte finish pressed powder, opt for this!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me | £2.99
Who remembers that baby lips craze when they came over to the UK? I went and bought them all haha..oops! This one in particular is my all time favourite, it gives a lovely subtle red tint to your lips and its so super creamy. Lovely for every day wear.

What are some of your all time favourite products?

Dark Autumnal Nail Polishes

Deep berry tones, purples, even black nail polishes are some of my favourite to wear so its no surprise I'm excited that Autumn has rolled back around! Here are some of my favourite picks.

This is a nail polish I've had in my stash for a while now (I know its not good to keep nail polishes for ages but this is still going strong). Its a gorgeous dark pink and silver glitter polish. I love this for over the top of dark berry toned nail polishes because it really compliments it. Its perfect for an accent nail as well, and the colour fits perfectly into autumn time.

Barry M do some of the best nail polishes on the high street in my opinion and this one is no exception. Its a proper black shade that comes out just as opaque as you see it in the bottle. I love that its matte, it'd be perfect to wear on halloween as it really makes a statement. It dries very quickly and can look really vampy and daring on the nails.

I looove Tanya's makeup range, especially her nail polishes! The formula is lovely and glide on really well. This is a deep red shade that looks perfect this time of year. I think dark red is one of my favourite autumnal colours, its just so daring but very classy at the same time. My only issue with this is that it chips quite easily but its such a lovely colour that it doesn't matter that much to me!

Looks like this nail polish has been discontinued basically everywhere but I managed to find it on Amazon! I seriously love this shade, its a dark yet quite bright purple shade. I also really love the formula of Rimmel nail polishes they seem to last such a long time! If you're looking for a lovely purple shade I'd recommend this one.

A very deep purple shade, and I love it. Its probably the darkest purple I own and the formula is just amazing. You would think it'd look very vampy, but it doesn't. It sits nicely on the nails and is actually quite subtle. One of my favourite darker shades for the autumn.

What nail polishes do you love for the autumn time?

The Sunday Chatter #6 | Meeting The Michalaks

I'm back today with another Sunday Chatter - its been two weeks I think? I also apologise for the lack of photos with this post - I've just been a bit wrapped up in stuff! Anyway I have a few exciting things to mention so yeah I hope you enjoy this weeks little rambling!

Starting off with last Sunday - I was in my local(ish) town shopping with my Mum, and we were about to head off home when I was walking and noticed The Michalaks. If you don't know who the Michalaks are, they're a family of three who do video diaries for their son Grayson. Anyway I'm sure a lot of you do know them so I didn't think twice and went up and spoke to them. Both Stef and Hannah were so kind and lovely and very talkative. They let me take a picture with them and asked a few questions and stuff. It was quite surreal since I sit and watch their videos every Sunday but I'm so glad I got to opportunity to meet them. So that was pretty amazing.

I feel like this week has actually gone pretty quickly compared to last, I had a lot of college and I felt very tired majority of the time (sigh). But I got photoshop this week which is so exciting, because it'll really help with my photography and media courses. Also meaning I can edit my blog photos in better quality. I'm still learning how to use it but I'll get to grips with it sooner or later. I'm pretty excited that Christmas is coming up - purely for the sake that I get to start buying presents for people. Its honestly my favourite part of Christmas. It hasn't even been Halloween yet and I'm already planning ahead haha. Lastly I've been particularly loving the Saccone Jolys this week; I love them every week to be honest. But they're trying for another baby and it makes me so excited that their may be a new addition to their family in the future. Not to mention how cute Emilia and Eduardo are!

What have you been up to the past week?

A Few Bits To Try

A bit of a random post today folks - but I've had a lot of minis lying around that either I have been testing before buying the big version or from the summer. These are some of my favourite bits I've been trying recently.

I know what you're thinking - head and shoulder?! Hear me out, this has a few different and great purposes. If you do suffer with a sensitive scalp I'd highly recommend this shampoo; obviously thats what its mainly for but it actually works. It also keeps my hair in a lovely condition and actually makes it feel thicker. The other purpose I have for this is for washing your brushes - as you can see on the bottle it has a little hand symbol. That just means its very kind to your skin so is perfect for washing brushes with because its not heavily scented and has no harsh chemicals in. It works really well if you put a small drop in the palm of your hand and swirl your brush around and rinse with water!

I do actually have the biggest version of this you can buy - I use this in my bag to carry around. Because sometimes throughout the day my hair can feel messier and greasier (nasty) and I need a bit of this! The only problem I have with this is its very chalky but it does take away the greasiness and make my hair look that tad bit fresher so I would recommend this!

A bit more on the expensive side for a mini bottle - but this is Lush we're talking about. I have previously done a review on this because I truly love it! Its a very minty shower gel that feels so super refreshing when applied to your skin. I love this because whether you wash yourself with this in the morning or the evening, you always step out of the shower feeling so refreshed. I will definitely be buying the big version of this!

The product I wanted to mention most. I actually got given this - and I've fallen in love. Its a salt scrub opposed to a sugar scrub so its a little harsher on the skin. However I feel it really works at buffing the skin and getting rid of any dryness. The scent is very masculine which isn't really a bad thing because it smells amazing. If you can give this a go I'd highly recommend it!

Mac Soft And Gentle

Mac Soft and Gentle has been around for a pretty long time now - and I've seen so much about it in the blogging community. So finally I decided it was time to give into the hype!

First up - I'm so impressed with the new packaging, it seems so much sturdier than the old one, plus has a magnetic close (I'm sure the old packaging didn't used to have this)?! Anyway Soft & Gentle is a warm toned highlighter. Its part of a range of four mineralize skin finishes and it seems to be the most popular. I'd love to try some of the others in the future though - because they're all so gorgeous!

Soft and gentle is the perfect product to give a lovely glow to the skin - just by adding it to the tops of your cheek bones. I like to use a powder brush or a medium size fluffy brush to brush it gently over my cheekbones after doing my bronzer and blusher. I think it finishes off a look perfectly, and is a lovely quite subtle highlight. However if you're looking for a more predominant highlight you can definitely build this up to give you a super glowy finish. Another great thing about this, is the amount you get - I'm pretty sure it'll take me years to finish this haha! So at £24 you can't really complain, I do believe you're getting your moneys worth here.

This is pretty much all I've got to say about this little gem of a product - its safe to say its one of my favourite products in my makeup collection!

Have you tried Mac Soft and Gentle?

On A Positive Note

I feel like having your own space on the internet is a great excuse to spread a little positivity. I just want to share with you a few things that I think help me to keep happy and positive when I really need it.

01. Laughing is the best medicine - I know if you're down in the dumps laughing is the last thing you want to do. But if you can manage to go out, maybe meet a friend and have a really good laugh I promise anything that was bothering you will be put to rest.

02. Have a good rest - By this I think I mainly mean have a good nights sleep! Sometimes thats hard, I know I'm not the best of sleepers, but when I do I usually feel so much better in the morning and it puts me in a brighter mood for the day. Other than sleeping you could just take a day out to slob around in your pj's and really give your body a rest, I find this helps me.

03. Don't overthink - A bold statement I must admit. I suck at trying not to overthink, I'm a seriously anxious person and I will overthink everything and anything. But if you can try to distract your mind for long enough, the overthinking will decrease. Try and find something to keep your mind busy if you're having a day where you're not actually doing too much. Overthinking can put you in some of the worst of moods, so trying to stop it is really helpful!

04. Always be true to yourself - I honestly think I'm less positive if I'm not being my true self in front of people. You shouldn't have to hide or be ashamed of anything you do/enjoy; just be yourself! Stick to what you love and believe in and ignore the rest. I promise you'll be much happier in yourself for this.

05. Push out any negativity in your life - I guess this is a bit easier said than done. However if someone or something is having a negative impact on your life, either get rid of them/it or address the problem. Talk to the person thats making you feel crap and if they can't understand then maybe they aren't worth your time. Or if you don't like something in your home - get rid of it and start again. Repaint, redecorate, whatever will make you feel better.

I hope this was helpful to someone, it certainly helps me.
What do you do to keep positive?

Meet: Avenue De Sophie

So, I contacted Sophie from Avenue De Sophie because her blog is one of my favourites; to ask if she'd answer a few questions. Which she did - so heres a mini 'interview' if you'd like, with her! I hope you enjoy.

01. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Eeeeeek this question is so hard! I guess I should probably start with my name, right? ...But then again, my blog name probably gives that away. Oh hec, I'm gonna stop rambling and start again.

I'm Soph! I'm 21 and I'm currently stumbling through life trying to figure out what the hell I'm supposed to be doing. I have an unhealthy obsession with coffee and red lipstick, and spend far too much of my time on the internet. I moved to Liverpool about 18 months ago, and at the minute, it's probably my favourite city outside of London. I take photographs of pretty much anything and everything, I've never been to University, and I basically don't go anywhere without my phone in my hand.

02. What made you start blogging?
To be quite honest, I can't really remember what my motivation was to create a blogger account. I remember I'd been watching YouTube video's for a while, and well, Instagram had always been my favourite social media platform. I kinda just started stumbling across bloggers Instagram accounts (cause y'know, they're the best ones ;) ) and then in turn I found their blogs, and it kinda just looked like fun! I was also having a rubbish time in work, and I wanted something that I could use as a bit of a creative outlet. A blog just seemed a perfect fit!

03. Whats your favourite post to write?
My favourite type of post to write would have to be my little life rambles. I'm quite an over-thinker about life, and I'm constantly re-evaluating what's important to me, and everyone around me right now, so to have somewhere where I can get all of my thoughts out of my head, is great. They're also the posts where I tend to go for walks with my camera for inspiration - another of my favourite past times!

04. Whats your favourite makeup item to shop for?
Lipstick. Definitely lipstick. Particularly red ones.

05. How would you describe your style?
My style is quite eclectic I think, I have pieces in my wardrobe from Topshop hung next to some of my favourite vintage finds. But generally I do tend to look back in time for inspiration on what to wear, weather it be the 80's, 90's, or even the 50's, I love playing around with different looks that aren't necessarily just what you'd find on the high street.

06. Do you have any tips for upcoming bloggers and did you expect your blog following to grow so much?
This question kinda made me giggle! But only because I'd still consider myself to be quite new to the whole blogging thing! I guess the biggest thing that I've learned over the last 11 months is, to not compare your blog to anyone else's. I know that sounds SUPER cliche, but your blog should be an extension of you, and not the rest of the bloggersphere. Write and produce content that you want to write!
And oh goodness, I never ever ever ever expected my blog to grow at all! I kinda started it for me, like I mentioned before, it was just somewhere for me to get creative, write a few things that were going on in my head, and to have somewhere else to post my photo's other than my Instagram. To be quite honest, people weren't meant to read it! But in all seriousness, I am so so thankful every time someone does read it now, I've met the best people through it, and it's also brought me some pretty cool opportunities. So yeah, I'm loving it atm!

I hope you all enjoyed that little interview with Sophie - you can check out her blog here, I'd recommend you do because her photography and writing style is amazing!

Over The Mountains & Into The Trees Escape

First up I apologise for the awkwardness of these photos - I'm no pro at outfit pictures and these were done on a tripod haha! But I wanted to share a few pieces I've been loving recently.

First of all my t-shirt is from Urban Outfitters | £26. The reason I love this so much is because of the quote on the front - I just adore it. Its pretty much your average t-shirt aside the quote but I think thats what I love about it. Its comfy, casual but is so soft and fits really well. I paired this with my black, ripped at the knee skinny jeans and my black high top converse. I think this is a great everyday t-shirt that sheds a little positivity into your day.

My watch is also from Urban Outfitters | £18. I love this watch - I have pretty small wrists so this sits really nicely because it doesn't have a huge face. Its very clear and easy to see and I love the brown leather strap, it makes it a little more subtle apposed to a black strap. The gold hardware is also really lovely and I think its a great neutral everyday watch!

Finally just to add to everything, my cute little silver star earrings. These are from Silver By Mail. These are real silver I believe and they just look really sweet in my opinion. I'm not a massive fan of chunky earrings, more of a dainty earring kinda gal. I just thought I'd share these pretty lil things with you.

What pieces have you been loving recently?

The Sunday Chatter #5 | Hello Autumn

I feel like autumn is a time for new beginnings and a fresh start. Summer has gone for another year and the colder seasons are upon us. What better time to start a fresh then now.

I want to believe that this season will be a time of change for me, a new beginning where I can learn and grow. I'm not going to lie to you here - this year has been tough. Very tough. I haven't been well all year and what with anxiety playing a part and my extreme fear of needles and sick its all been a bit much. That is why I am desperately trying to pick myself up and become a better person and try and overcome these fears in order to feel better. I just wanted to mention this because I've felt utterly horrible all week and it gets me down quite a lot. The doctors seem to think its an acid problem which causes me to feel sick and have a bit of a painful/uncomfortable chest. Please let me know if you've experienced anything similar; I feel quite alone with it all.

This whole week overall hasn't been particularly interesting, I just wanted to open up on here and have a good old chat! I'm thinking of saving up for the new iPhone 6s - but I can't decide if I like the rose gold? Any opinions? Maybe I'll go for silver! Feeling a bit of a change with my phone (see what I did there, keeping on the theme of change) haha. I've also discovered some new music this week to keep my mind distracted from things, I've been loving the song 'Sober' by Childish Gambino and also 'Wildest Dreams' by Ryan Adams. He actually covered the whole of Taylor's 1989 album. However I had never heard her version because she doesn't allow it to be on Spotify!

Anyway I managed to take some pictures this week as the beginning of autumn has rolled in! I was pretty impressed with them, not going to lie. So hello autumn.

How has your week been?

Autumn Lipstick Edit

Todays post is in collaboration with Georgia from the blog 'From November' - she's also done a post about her autumn lipstick picks which you can check out here. Also follow her Bloglovin' here and her Instagram here. I hope you enjoy!

So lets start off with a nude. I don't tend to go for nude lipsticks as I find they really don't flatter my skin tone because I'm rather pale. However this nude is perfect - its got the Kylie Jenner brownish nude going on which I must say I really love. Its the perfect nude for autumn because its very subtle, not bright at all and I think this paired with a nice smoky coppery eye looks stunning!

Where do I start with this lipstick? This is a true, quite deep, red shade. This is so flattering all year round but I think for autumn it fits perfectly. I think this is an awesome shade to wear with a monochrome outfit because it gives you a lovely pop of colour without being too in your face. This will be my staple red shade this autumn.

This looks kinda terrifying in the bullet but its so stunning on the lips. This is the darkest lipstick I own - a very deep berry purple. Its a matte finish but also has a metallic shine to it which I find very interesting. I think this is the perfect evening out shade for the autumn, its sophisticated and quite fierce really. Its such a stunning shade.

This has to be my favourite pick of the bunch. A subtle mauve plum shade thats shiny and creamy on the lips. I love the finish of this as its not at all bold but gives you that small pop of colour. Its a perfect everyday shade for the autumn and extremely wearable. This is what I'll have on my lips probably throughout most of autumn/winter because I just can't get enough of it!

What lipsticks will you be wearing this autumn?
