A Collective Beauty Haul

I feel like its been so long since I've just sat down, and talked through beauty bits I've recently picked up!
So here we are. A collective beauty haul, yay! Lets get cracking shall we? First thing I'm gonna mention, is the Mac Strobe Cream, as I picked it up in duty free when I was on my way to Amsterdam. This is actually the mini version, purely because I wanted to see how good it was before getting the full sized version. I've been enjoying popping this on my skin prior to my foundation for a natural glow. So far so good, but I'm not sure I'd purchase the full sized version (its pricey)! The second thing I picked up whilst on my travels, was the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. I've already mentioned this on here, but I just had to include it again. Its the perfect everyday nude shade, and so comfortable on the lips. Its everything I'd want in a lipstick, and I'm so excited to try more from Charlotte Tilbury!

Now onto the cheaper bits. I was after some new fake lashes as the ones I had were getting a bit gross, so I decided to pick up the Ardell Demi Wispies. I first heard about these through Tanya Burr, but never got round to picking them up. I'm really excited to try them out, and see how they compare to my usual Red Cherry Demi Wispies! Next up we have something from Elf, which is exciting, as I've never tried anything from the brand before. I was browsing their stand in Superdrug and spotted their line of primers. I'm not one to use primer often, but thought it was worth trying one out to see how well it made my makeup last. I chose the Poreless Face Primer, as I have quite big, open pores that I'd quite like to hide. This has a very slippery, but smooth consistency and I think it does minimise the appearance of my pores, but its not groundbreaking. I definitely need to keep trialling it!

Something skincare related that I picked up, was the T-Zone Black Peel Off Mask. I'd seen a few bloggers talking about the new range, and I was intregued. Peel off masks have most certainly had their moment recently, and they seem so satisfying. The scent of this is lovely, the consistency however, is strange. It almost feels like putting tar on your face, but once dried and peeled off, makes your skin so damn smooth! And finally, a cult classic, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I haven't used this for well over a year, just because I've had other concealers on rotation. I forgot how much I loved this though, everything about it is perfect. I feel like I don't need to say anymore, because everyyyone has tried this at least once before.

  2. I got given a free sample of the strobe cream in mac and I really like it, I'm considering picking up a bottle once my primer has run out.

  5. I think I'm the only blogger, and probably girl who hasn't tried collection lasting perfection! I'm just such a high end loyal girl when it comes to my base, I like to invest in more expensive skin care and base items

  8. Strobe cream is amazing if you want to go for that 'glow from within' look. I am with you in saying that the full size is pricey!

  9. I've been hearing so much about Charlotte Tilbury lately, I need to try the brand soon. You've got an elf stand at your Superdrug? How nice, the one close to me doesn't. I have a friend who swears by the Collection concealer but I've never tried it as they don't make shades for black women or if they do, I've never seen it in store before so there's that. I use their loose powder though and it's really good. Nice haul :)

    1. This is the first piece of charlotte tilbury makeup that I own, and I'm loving it - also love the fact I have an elf stand in my local superdrug! That sucks that they don't do a more varied shade range, they really should get on that!
