5 Goals For 2018

Its a bit of a tradition now that I write down a few goals for the year ahead. I don't particularly like new years resolutions, but I don't think setting out a few goals for the year can hurt. So, here are 5 goals for 2018!

01. Carry on tackling my anxiety
As I've previously mentioned on here before, I suffer with anxiety. More specifically, panic disorder and emetophobia (the fear of sick). I've struggled immensely with this for three years now, and I want 2018 to be the year I see a serious improvement. I know I can do it, I am capable and I will be in a better place come 2019.

02. Start eating a more balanced diet
I know nearly everyone says how they want to eat healthier in the new year, but I'm tryna be serious about this one. Its time I got my shit together, and started eating a more balanced diet instead of living off sugary foods. I'm going to try and make my lunch before I go to bed each night, so its all prepared for the next day, and just make some more sensible choices in general when it comes to eating.

03. Continue to grow Forever September
I absolutely adore having this little space on the internet, and I'm so grateful for the people I've met through blogging and the support I get on my posts. I'd love to post more regularly again, as I started to slack at the end of 2017. I want to improve my photography, writing style and just progress in general with my blog.

04. Educate myself more
Even though I'm at university now, I'm only studying one subject and thats photography. Obviously, I'm learning so much about the subject and I'm really enjoying it, but I'd love to educate myself on other things in life. Whether thats through watching more movies, listening to a wider variety of music or reading up on things I'm not familiar with.

05. Complete my 1 second a day
This year I've decided to challenge myself and film 1 second of my day, everyday. I think I saw Zoella doing this first and really liked the idea. I then watched a few others post their 2017 videos, showing one second of their day, every day. Its such a nice idea, and you get to see your own progression and adventures as the year goes by.

What are your goals for 2018?

  3. I think that doing the one second a day thing is such a good way to remember little silly things that you have done throughout the year, that you may come to forget. Such a cute idea!

  9. The one second a day sounds so cool, I'm excited to see what happens at the end of the year! Also, I like how you said you wanted to post more regularly because to me you always post regularly and it baffles me because not only are they regular posts but they're also good posts you never lack quality. I feel you about eating healthily, I'm struggling to get out of the indulgent Christmas mentality at the moment and also need to make my own lunches (mainly to help save money). About the educate one- I've taken to listening to ted talks like once a day and I don't know if it's actually educating me but I feel like they are good ways to kind of open your mind/challenge your mind more and they're easy to slip in to your day, I usually listen whilst doing my makeup. Looking forward to see how you grow your blog more! And woohoo to your first post, you're so strong and I hope you find some things that really help you tackle your anxiety this year x

    1. Aww Libby, thank you so much that means a lot to me honestly! I need to make my own lunches to save money as well, I swear to god most of my money goes on food its so bad. I have the ted talk app on my iPad, I really must use it more often because I feel like theres so many interesting topics to learn about, such a good idea. Thanks again Libby, and best of luck with any goals you have for 2018!

  13. I think number 4 is such a great goal! And with the internet, you really can never stop learning. I've learnt basic Spanish & German through free apps (Duolingo & Memrise)! I like to try and 'go to bed smarter than when you woke up' - and for me that includes learning about myself. This year I've decided to write one thing in my journal at the end of each day that I've learnt - I can't wait to look back on it all at the end!

Not usually a turquoise fan myself either but just had a quick look at the tutorial you linked and now I'm inspired!!! Such a great palette and like you say, amazing shade range!!!

  17. I started treating my anxiety with acupuncture last year and omg, I feel such an improvement. Couple that with meditation (if I actually did them), I'd be in the best place. I definitely recommend acupuncture if it's something you're open to.
