Keeping Positive

We’re fast approaching the winter months, and the beautiful hot sunny days are behind us for now. As much as I love autumn/winter, theres something about summer that keeps my spirit’s lifted. Things aren’t as good as they could be for me right now either, college struggles, relationship struggles and what have you. I think keeping positive is so important, and I not only wanted to remind myself of this, but everyone else too.

“Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be.”

I flipping love this quote. Last year was such a horrendous year for my mental health and my anxiety was just shit if I’m honest. But when I think back to what I was like a year ago, compared to now, I’m extremely happy with the progress I’ve made. All that keeping positive worked well, and I’ve managed to land myself in a happier place. I’m nowhere near where I want to be, but I sure am 10x better than I was, and I’m so thankful for that.

Bad days are a thing, they happen to the best of us. Every day is a clean slate, and if today’s a bad one, tomorrow might be better. If not, the one after that. You get the idea. I think what I’m trying to say is, that time is a great healer and times will get better even if you don’t think that right now. Life is full of surprises, good and bad. Just keep your chin up, and the good times are just around the corner when you’re least expecting it.

Take nice trips out, find your happy place and just be. I’m trying my best to do this at the moment, as its relaxing and really mindful. Stick to what you love, and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise basically. I love shopping, and I’m usually in my element when doing so, and thats okay. The beach is also a happy place of mine, so peaceful, so calming. Find the calm in the storm, and take each day as it comes.

I hope this helped you feel a bit more positive, or reminded you that good times are right round the corner. I think everybody needs reminding of this every now and again, including myself. Keep positive people, much love.
