Disappointing Products

I don’t like being too negative about products, but sometimes theres products that I just can’t get on with!

The first disappointing product, is the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. I had high hopes for this foundation, after so many bloggers raving about it. I knew they changed the formulation and re-did the packaging. However, the reason this is disappointing is because it clings to my dry patches of skin so bad. I have dry skin around my nose that won’t budge whatever I do, and this foundation loves to just gather around those patches, therefore I can’t really use it. My second disappointing product, is the new Rimmel Brow Shake Filling Powder. A new release to the beauty world, with lots of bloggers talking about it, I decided to give it a go. Its a great concept, but the reason I dislike this is because it kinda goes everywhere. Because its a powder it smudges really easily, and I manage to get it under my brows and ugh, its a pain. It might just be me and my precision, but its not quick or easy enough to be using on a day to day basis.

I’m quite sad about the fact I’ve got two Too Faced products in this, as I actually really love them as a brand. However, the Too Faced White Chocolate Chip Palette, just didn’t do it for me. I’ve written a whole review on it here, but in short the pigmentation isn’t great and it was just underwhelming, especially for a Too Faced palette. Another disappointing Too Faced product is their Better Than Sex Mascara. This is another cult favourite, but I just couldn’t get on with it. Purely because it gave me such bad panda eyes, and I hate that. By the end of the day, most of it was underneath my eyes and just nah, who has time for that?!

Lastly, a non makeup product but a skincare one. The Nivea Light Moisturising Day Cream. I’d used this before, and quite liked it but it was nothing special. So I repurchased, but this time the one aimed at normal and combination skin. I used this before putting on my makeup, and this was a bad mistake. It makes my skin SO oily and my makeup is practically falling off my face throughout the day when I use this. So its a no from me!
