3 Beauty Purchases From Amsterdam

We did quite a bit of shopping whilst in Amsterdam, and I managed to pick up a few beauty bits along the way.

The makeup shops in Amsterdam are pretty cool actually. They have shops just full of higher end brands, such as Urban Decay, Smashbox, Benefit etc. Although we found it to be overpriced compared to the UK. They also had a NYX store which was super cool. However, the one place that was every bloggers dream, was the department store ‘de Bijenkorf’. It had all the top brands, marble flooring, and stocked Charlotte Tilbury. What more could you want? So, I headed to the CT counter to have a browse. I knew I wanted to get something whilst I was there, and then I spotted Pillow Talk lipstick. As soon as I swatched it on the back of my hand, I knew it had to be mine. Its literally the perfect everyday nude. It feels super comfortable on the lips, and isn’t at all drying. I’m in looovee!

We were actually staying in a town called Hilversum, which was about 20 minutes outside of central Amsterdam. They had their own little shopping centre, so on the last day we decided to have a wonder around there. Along the way, we spotted a Kiko, which had a huge sale on. So, I picked up one of their long lasting shadow sticks in the shade 36 Golden Mauve. This is such a gorgeous shade, its pink with flecks of gold in so when you blend it out, you get this gorgeous rose gold effect. The formula itself is also amazing, super creamy and long lasting. The second thing I picked up, was one of their Ultra Glossy Stylo Lipsticks in 802 Nude. This is a true nude shade, something I don’t have in my collection. Its also glossy, which is a change for me, as I usually go for mattes. I’m yet to try this properly, but from the swatch, I like it!
