I’m quite the skincare lover, and I can’t go a day without doing my skincare routine!
So when Swiss Clinic got in touch with me, asking whether I’d like to try out their Skin Renewal Rejuvenating Serum*, I was quick to say yes. The treatment involves microneedling, which is quite a popular phenomenon at the moment, and its something I’ve been intregued by for ages now.
I’ve got quite a lot scarring from previous breakouts, and have suffered with mild acne in the past, and I’d heard that microneedling was quite good for helping with both those things. So, getting to try this was very exciting. I was slightly hesitant to use the roller at first because, um needles?! But actually once you do it, it feels quite relaxing. Its very strange, but almost satisfying.
Also I must mention how luxurious the packaging of this is, I love it! The serum itself is quite thick, and has a gel like texture. You only need one pump of this, and it feels very refreshing when massaged into the skin. Once I’ve applied it to my skin, I go in with the roller. I focus this mainly across both of my cheeks, where my scarring is its worst. It leaves you with slightly red skin, but thats expected. Oh, and I suppose I should explain the benefits of microneedling! So, basically it makes ‘micro-channels’ in the skin, which causes the skin to respond as if its been damaged. This then triggers a healing process, and obviously by using the serum alongside, it should help improve and repair your skin.
So, have I seen any results? I always find it so hard to tell with skincare, as my skin doesn’t seem to change drastically, no matter what product I use. But, I will say, I haven’t had any major breakouts since using this and my problem areas have felt so much smoother. The scarring on my cheeks is really quite bad, but it hasn’t got any worse, nor have I had any horrible spots in that area since using it. I’m hoping by continuing to use this, my scarring will decrease and I can be on my way to having clear skin.
