I know everyone is going to say this, but how is the year over already? I swear 2017 has gone so fast, like faster than any other year of my life. So many changes have happened this year as well, its unbelievable. So, on that note, I thought it’d be nice to reflect on the past year and highlight the best moments!
01. Passing my A Levels
This year I passed my A Levels, and I was actually so impressed with myself. I managed to get an A, B and D* which is way better than I expected. So that was a huge achievement for me.
02. Starting university
With passing my A Levels, came getting into university. So off I went in September to start my photography degree. I’ve now been there 3 months, and have enjoyed it a lot so far and can’t wait to see what next year has to hold.
03. Travelling to Amsterdam
This year I really stepped out of my comfort zone, and went with two of my friends to Amsterdam for a few days. I was very apprehensive about going, as I hadn’t been on a plane since I was about 9, but I was fine and actually quite enjoyed the short flight. The trip itself was also so much fun, and I’d love to go back one day.
04. Meeting new people
This year I have met a handful of new people that I am so grateful to have in my life. I met my boyfriend around the middle of the year, and I couldn’t be happier to have met him and have him in my life. Around the same time, I got talking to my now best friend Fran. Who I talk to almost every day without fail, and who always has my back no matter what. Couldn’t be more grateful.
05. An amazing job opportunity
Once I’d finished all my A Level exams, I was scrolling through twitter and saw a job advertisement with a content creator I’d been watching for years. It was something that took my fancy, so I decided to apply for it, because I had nothing to lose. Several emails and mini projects later, I got an interview. I was incredibly nervous as this was a huge deal for me, but it went well and I progressed on further and got to film a video with this creator. It was an amazing experience, although sadly thats where it stopped. But it was fun whilst it lasted and I still can’t believe I had the opportunity to do it.
What were your best moments of 2017?
