Whats In My Bag: Summer Edition

whats in my bag, summer edition, summer, straw bag, blogger, forever september, sunglasses, topshop, superdrug, john lewis, kikki k, charlotte tilbury, beauty, lifestyle, fashionI feel like I’m really embracing summer this year, I mean I try to every year but we’ve had such amazing weather recently its so hard not to. On my May to-do list, I said I wanted to purchase a basket bag (typical blogger) and well, I did just that. When the trend first came about I wasn’t fussed at all but I then spotted this gorgeous one in Miss Selfridge and couldn’t resist.

Soo I thought what better way to introduce it than to do a whats in my bag – how old school. I suppose we should start with what you’d obviously find in anyones bag, money/cards. I have a coin purse to keep loose change in (not that I ever have much), but it just keeps it from rattling around at the bottom of my bag. I actually picked this cute lil one up from Kikki K in the sale but they no longer have it, however I did find a similar one here. My card holder is actually quite old now, I got it for Christmas a couple of years ago and I believe it was from John Lewis. I honestly find it so handy and because its so small it doesn’t take up much room in my bag and it actually holds all the cards I have perfectly!whats in my bag, summer edition, summer, straw bag, blogger, forever september, sunglasses, topshop, superdrug, john lewis, kikki k, charlotte tilbury, beauty, lifestyle, fashion

Since we’ve had such gorgeous weather recently, I’ve made sure to have a pair of sunglasses to hand. I was so tempted to buy myself a pair of the round ray-bans this year but stopped myself because I couldn’t quite justify splashing out almost £150 on some sunnies. However, I did find this (pretty much identical) pair from Topshop for a bargain of £14 and I looove them! Again, because of the hot weather we’ve been having, I think its essential to carry around a body spray of some sort. I’ve really been enjoying the Superdrug Layering Lab Body Mist in Exotic, and I’ve heard its a brilliant dupe for YSL Black Opium.

Then we have the random little bits and bobs. I always end up with a collection of lipsticks at the bottom of my bag (I’m sure you can relate), but one I’ve been loving in particular is Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk. The perfect every day nude lipstick, you 100% need in your life. Alongside the abundance of random lipsticks, I usually have some hand sanitiser hanging around, maybe a few bobby pins and hairbands as well – typical! Hopefully this post wasn’t too boring, I just really wanted to showcase this gorgeous bag to be honest, I’m totally smitten with it!

What are your summer bag essentials?
