My Favourite Netflix Shows

forever september, my favourite netflix shows, netflix, lifestyle, beauty, fashion, bloggerI’ve been wanting to do this post for ages and I’ve finally got round to it, woo! I spend a lot of my free time watching Netflix shows, which yano is really productive but it means I’ve seen a fair few shows. Sooo, I’m gonna share my faves with you!

I was so late on the bandwagon with this show and I can’t believe it took me until last year to actually watch it. How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom, which follows the main character, Ted Mosby and his group of friends in New York City. As a framing device, Ted, in the year 2030, recounts to his son and daughter the events that led him to meet their mother (I had to copy and paste this from Wikipedia because lord knows I couldn’t describe it myself haha)!

I think the show is hilarious, there are so many funny and emotional moments to say the least which makes it a bit of a rollercoaster ride. You will 100% get invested in all of the main characters, so do be prepared for that. Its got 9 seasons, so its quite a long one to get through, but each episode sits at around 20 minutes long, which means you don’t have to take too much time out of your day to watch it. To be honest, I’ll probably re-watch this whole show again at some point, I love it that much.

Ahhh, Riverdale. This is definitely a ‘marmite’ show if you will. Essentially, the first season revolves around the murder of Jason Blossom, who is a popular high school boy and twin of Cheryl Blossom. Everyone in Riverdale gets together to try and solve the murder case and a lot of stuff goes down whilst they’re trying to do this. There is a second season as well, which I’m sure a lot of people can agree, wasn’t as good.

This time, the main focus is on a new murderer named ‘The Black Hood’. Everyone is desperate to find out who’s behind the mask, however there are so many side stories in the second season its really hard to keep up. Anyway, although its gone down hill I do think the first season is well worth the watch and trust me, you won’t see the ending coming!

This is probably my all time favourite show, EVER. Again, I was late on the bandwagon with this and it kinda upsets me that it took as long as it did to watch it. This is a sci-fi/thriller TV series which is set in the 80s. I think the fact that its set in the 1980s, is what makes me love it so much. The vibe it gives off is so cool and very unique in comparison to any other TV show I’ve watched. Its set in a small town called Hawkins, where a young boy goes missing after a day out at his best friends house. This sets off an investigation, where other factors come in to play, including a girl who appears to have supernatural powers.

Itsreally hard to explain this one, its just something you have to watch I think. I don’t even want to explain much about the second season, because it’d be quite difficult without spoiling the first. There is something about Stranger Things that makes me so happy, I can’t explain it. The characters are all incredible in their own ways and you really do get invested in the show.

My friend told me about this show, because before that, I didn’t even know it wn the sense that its a show full of teenagers and murders. Its based off the original movie ‘Scream’, which I haven’t personally seen, but I’ve heard its quite different. There is a series of murders in the town of Lakewood and main character Emma Duval is in the middle of it all.

Again, its hard to not spoil this one because I don’t want to give away any of the murders or anything like that. I think you have to take this show with a pinch of salt, its a bit cheesy but its still pretty good I must say!

I don’t think I could do this post without including FRIENDS. I started watching this on Comedy Central about 4 years ago now and watched the whole series in the wrong order, but because I’ve seen each episode so many times now, it all pieces together perfectly in my mind. Anywaaaay, it was recently added to Netflix so I can now watch it properly, from start to finish.

I feel like I don’t even need to write a summary of this because come’on, everyone knows it right?! Six friends, living in New York City and we just get to witness their life’s, the ups and downs. Its such a funny show thats lighthearted and easy to watch, so if you haven’t dabbled in the FRIENDS hype yet, I suggest ya do!
