Its time to crack out the warm toned shadows and vampy lipsticks people, autumn is here. This makes me beyond happy because warm tones are my thaaang. So I thought I’d share my quick and easy autumnal makeup routine!
My go-to base at the moment is The Ordinary Coverage Foundation. This little bottle of goodness works so well on my skin and gives amazing coverage, without being too cakey. Plus its super cheap which is probably the best part. For concealer, I’m still using my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection because…well its my fave! To set all of this in place, I’ve been using the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Pressed Powder. This is a product I’ve never tried before but I’m honestly really impressed.
Onto bronzer and I’m still using my Benefit Hoola Bronzer, because honestly, its just the best bronzer I’ve ever tried. If anyone has any other recommendations for bronzers that cater to pale skin, I’m all ears! After applying this, I go in with highlighter. Another Wet n Wild product here folks and I’m a fan, its the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Blossom Glow. I was really keen to see how this budget friendly highlighter compared to my Becca/Mac offerings and honestly, its on par! It takes a bit more to build up in comparison to the higher end products but still, it leaves a stunning, natural sheen on the skin.
Moving away from the base and onto the eyes. I’ve been loving a variety of products/palettes for my eyes, one of which being my Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Eyeshadow Palette. I know, I know, I’ve mentioned this so many times but I really can’t get enough. It has a bunch of gorgeous warm toned shadows inside that work so well together to create a lovely autumnal look. I think my favourite shade in the palette has to be ‘Dreams’, a beautiful shimmery copper/gold. As lovely as this palette is, if you want something a bit quicker then I’d recommend the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Metallic Eyeshadow in Shells and Whistles. This is a gorgeous rose gold, liquid shadow that can be applied in one swipe, which makes it super quick and easy. It dries down really quickly as well and doesn’t feel at all tacky on the eyelid.
To finish it all off, I’m back to using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I love the way this separates my lashes without looking too spider-like (you know what I mean haha)! Oooh and brows, how could I forget brows?! I’ve been using the Eylure Defining & Shading Brow Palette*. I’ve been using the wax/pomade section to fill in my brows and it works wonders – I love it! Although if I’m feeling a bit lazy, I’ll whip out the Fleur de Force by Eylure Brow Tamer in Medium*. This is fab because if you want a bit of a tint on the brows you can use the coloured side and if you just want to tame them then the clear gel is perfect.
Finally, lipstick. My go-to for this season is the Kat Von D Studded Kiss Satin-Matte Cream Lipstick in the shade Misfit. Its the perfect brown toned red, not too vampy, just a good middle ground.
