Tropic Skincare: First Impressions

forever september, tropic skincare: first impressions, skincare, cleanser, toner, moisturiser, mask, deep moisturising mask, smoothing cleanser, skin feast, vitamin toner, skincare routine, tropic, beauty, makeup, lifestyle, chatty,Its time to talk skincare again, yay! I’ve wanted to try out Tropic skincare for the longest time and I was lucky enough to be sent over a few bits, so I thought I’d share my first impressions with you.

I received the ABC + Deep Hydration Skincare Collection to try out, which includes the smoothing cleanser, bamboo face cloth, vitamin toner, skin feast and the deep hydration mask. Essentially you get a three step skincare routine here, with the added bonus of the deep hydration mask. The first thing I noticed when opening up my parcel, was how beautifully the products were packaged. They all came wrapped in multicoloured paper, which is such a nice touch. The products themselves feel very luxurious, as they have a bit of weight to them. A solid 10/10 for aesthetic there Tropic!

This reminds me of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, which I love, so I was interested to see how the two compared. The first thing that struck me with this, was the scent. It automatically reminded me of being in a spa, that calming, fresh scent – I love it. When I first applied it to my face, it seemed to melt away my face makeup really well but struggled a bit with the eye makeup. The bamboo cloth felt gentle on my skin when I was wiping the cleanser away but again, it did struggle with the eye makeup. I had to go back over that with a cotton pad and micellar water to get rid of any traces. Due to this, I think I might stick to using it as my second step cleanser, after I’ve removed my makeup.

Next up is the Vitamin Toner Pore Refining Mist*. This product claims to help balance pH in the skin and reduce pore size, which I’m totally here for. Again, it has the same spa-like scent and feels very soothing once sprayed onto the skin. I love the way this spritz’s as well, it comes out in a very fine mist thats easy to use and doesn’t go everywhere. I haven’t noticed any difference in pore size yet, so I can’t report back on that but lets hope it lives up to its description!

The last step in this routine would be moisturiser, and thats where the Skin Feast Nourishing Cream Concentrate* comes into play. This stuff claims to be your daily moisturising hero and I can definitely see that becoming true. This is quite a heavy moisturiser, however it does sink into the skin really quickly and leaves it feeling super hydrated and nourished. I have a few small areas of dry skin around my nose area and I think this has helped with but I’ll have to continue using it to see its full potential. But so far, so good!

Finally, an added bonus when you buy the ABC skincare collection is the Deep Hydration Soothing Cooling Mask*. I have to admit, I haven’t had the time to try this out yet but I’m so excited. It smells incredible and when trying it on the back of my hand, feels so moisturising. I’m definitely going to crack this out when I have a pamper evening, as you leave it on for around 20 minutes and let it nourish your skin.

Have you ever tried anything from Tropic?
