5 Goals For 2019

Yikes, I can’t believe we’re literally days away from 2019. It feels like it was only yesterday I was writing out my 2018 goals, but here we are. I know its quite cliché to set out goals at the beginning of the year, but I enjoy doing it so I can see my progress by the end. Sooo, here are 5 goals I have for 2019.

01. GAIN MORE CONFIDENCE

I’ve never been an overly confident person and thats something I’m determined to change this year. I want to become more confident in myself and my abilities because I’m known to put myself down whenever possible. I know in the back of my mind I’m more capable than I think and I need to remember that and embrace it. For example, I want to stop caring if people are staring at me when taking photos, or when I’m having my photo taken. Or even, have faith in my uni/blog work that it is good and that I am on the right tracks. Overall, I just really want to believe in myself more.

02. CONTINUE TO TACKLE MY MENTAL ILLNESS

I’ve spoken about my mental illness a lot on my blog this year, especially with my mental health monday’s series. 2018 threw a lot of curveballs my way and I found myself at a very low point with my anxiety near the end of the year. In turn, this caused me to experience (what I now realise was) a depressive episode. This stopped me from leaving the house on numerous occasions and I know that isn’t the life I want to live. I want to get back on track with therapy, stick to my medication as long as I feel appropriate and also delve into some self help.

03. GET AT LEAST ONE NEW TATTOO

In 2018, I got my first ‘big’ tattoo piece. Albeit, its not very big but it takes up a fair amount of my arm haha. I now have a total of 4 tattoo’s and I really want to get more. I’ve recently followed loads of new artists on Instagram and have some designs in mind that I’d love to get. Mike Stout is an incredible artist and I’d love to be tattooed by him. My biggest piece was done by Katy who I’d love to be tattooed by again, she does some incredible floral pieces.

04. START UP A NEW PROJECT

I have a few ideas in mind for projects I want to start this year and I really want them to come to fruition. A podcast is mainly what I have in mind and although it still needs a bit more research, I think its possible. I love having projects on the go and being creative, so who knows, maybe I’ll have my own podcast by the end of the year.

05. START A NEW HOBBY

I feel like I have this on my agenda every year but I want 2019 to be the year it actually happens. I’d quite like to go to a dance class, as I used to do it when I was younger but gave it up. Or even go for runs (I highly doubt this will happen) but the thoughts there. Just something that gives me a bit of exercise because right now, I literally don’t do any – oops.
