Its safe to say I have way too many lipsticks. More specifically, way too many nude lipsticks. I just can’t help myself. They’re too pretty and so easy to wear. So I thought I’d share 5 that I’ve had on rotation the past few months now, I’m obsessed!
anastasia beverly hills matte lipstick in ‘spice’
I actually have the mini version of this, which came in a gift set along with 3 other lipsticks. However, ‘Spice‘ is certainly my favourite from the bunch. Its a brown toned nude which is probably my favourite kind as it compliments my skin tone quite nicely. Its a matte formula so it stays put throughout the day, I only have to top it up if I have a proper meal. Amazingly, its not drying at all, which is such a win for a matte formulation. I’ll definitely be purchasing the full size once this has run out!
revolution soph nude lipstick in ‘cake’
I’ve mentioned this lipstick so many times now, hopefully you’re not sick of hearing about it haha. Its part of the Soph collaboration with Revolution and in total she has 3 nude lipsticks available. I opted for the shade ‘Cake‘, which is more of a pink toned nude. Unlike the Anastasia offering, this is a cream finish so it feels that little bit more comfortable on the lips. However, it doesn’t stay put as long, but it isn’t a huge issue as its super easy to reapply. For £4 you can’t really complain though, its a gorgeous shade!
topshop cream lipstick in ‘mink’
I have to say, this is definitely my favourite of the 5 (don’t tell the others). This is a Topshop Cream Lipstick in the shade ‘Mink‘. I received this when working with Topshop and I didn’t expect much from it if I’m honest, but wow its become a real staple. Its described as a ‘burnt rose’ shade and I think that hits the nail on the head. I find it compliments my skin tone very well and goes with most makeup looks. Again, its a cream finish so is extremely comfortable on the lips. The only thing, it comes off quite easily but like the last lippie, its so easy to reapply again.
charlotte tilbury matte revolution lipstick in ‘pillow talk’
A cult favourite, Charlotte Tilbury ‘Pillow Talk‘. Another lipstick I’ve mentioned multiple times on the blog, but its just the best. It really is the nude of all nudes, a lipstick that goes with every makeup look. Its a lil bit pricier than the other lippies mentioned but well worth it. The packaging is gorgeous too!
burt’s bees lipstick in ‘sunset cruise’
Last but by no means least, the Burt’s Bees lipstick in ‘Sunset Cruise‘. This is fairly new to my collection, I received it in a Latest in Beauty box. Another cream formula, which feels very comfortable on the lips. It has quite a sheer finish though, so not as pigmented as some of the other lipsticks I’ve mentioned. If I’m feeling more of a pink tone then I’ll automatically opt for this as its not too daring but a little different from my usual nude.
