I have way too many fake tan bottles in my bathroom for someone who doesn’t fake tan often. Although now the sun has made an appearance and I have to get my pasty legs out, it’s time to crack open a bottle, right?! So I thought I’d share some of the tans I’ve been loving/using over the years!
isle of paradise self-tanning water in ‘light’
Last summer I actually wrote a review for this and it wasn’t exactly the most positive one. However, I had the chance to use it a few more times and have changed my mind about a lot of what I said. My main issue with this, was there was no guide. So it was impossible to tell where you had already applied the tan and where you hadn’t, which was off putting. This made for quite a patchy tan when I woke up the following morning. Since the first time I used it, I’ve learnt to be more careful and apply it sparingly and pay more attention. I think this works a lot better and it leaves you with a gorgeous golden glow.
isle of paradise self tanning drops in ‘light’
Another one from Isle of Paradise, its their Self Tanning Drops. If you’ve never fake tanned before and you’re a lil bit worried about the outcome, I’d recommend this product. You just add the drops to your usual moisturiser, so it’s no extra effort. I think this is such a good idea and they do them in light, medium and dark.
st. moriz instant tanning mousse
St. Moriz was the first brand of fake tan that I used. Its so cheap in comparison to a lot of brands but is so good. This is their Instant Tanning Mousse, which you only have to leave on for an hour to achieve a light tan. They do this in various colours as well. This tan has a guide, so as soon as you apply it, you can see where you’re applying. It can look quite intimidating at first as its so dark but once the initial layer is washed off, it develops into a lovely bronzey tan.
nyk1 tan force
Another mousse formula, this is the NYK1 Tan Force. However, this one doesn’t have a guide, the mousse comes out white. I’m not a massive fan of this as I like to know where I’m applying it, but still the tan comes out really nice. This isn’t an instant tan either, its one you have to leave on for a few hours before washing off. The best thing to do, is pop it on before bed and wash it off in the morning.
What are your go-to fake tans?
