I haven’t been blogging half as much as I’d like recently, but now my uni deadlines are done and dusted, I can get back to it. So, my first proper post back is a ‘skincare on trial’. I’m lucky enough to get sent over a fair amount of skincare to try out and recently Dr Botanicals got in touch. I’d heard of the brand before but never tried any of their products, so I was intregued to see how they performed.
hemp infused super natural enzyme mask
Lets start with the Hemp Infused range. This mask is infused with hemp seed oil, which works at regenerating and resurfacing the most outer layer of the skin. Hemp is quite a popular ingredient used in skincare these days, due to having vitamin A, D and E – its good stuff. My skin feels super smooth after using this and its a lovely mask for when your skin needs a little pick me up.
hemp bio-vitality nutrition oil
Another product from the Hemp Infused range, a facial oil. I’m a recent oil convert, I love the stuff. I used to believe that because I had oily skin, that it wouldn’t work for me, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. This oil works to hydrate and balance dehydrated skin. I certainly don’t drink enough water and have had tests done before that suggest my skin is slightly dehydrated, so this should work well for me. I’ll report back once I’ve been using it for a longer period of time.
charcoal superfood mattifying face mask
Another face mask, a charcoal one this time. Charcoal masks are probably my favourite, I love the way they feel on my skin and the after effects too. This particular mask aims to gently clean and exfoliate the skin, so is perfect to use once or twice a week. Theres just something about charcoal masks that seem really luxurious to me, not sure what it is but this has become a firm staple in my skincare routine – a real winner for me!
moroccan rose superfood facial oil
First things first, the packaging for this oil is stunning. Oh and it smells incredible too. This oil claims to rejuvenate the skin and is perfect for those who have dry or a lacklustre skin type. Around my nose gets particularly dry, so I’m hoping this oil will help to combat that. I haven’t yet tried it, as I’m working my way through some other oils first but honestly, I’m very excited to give this a go.
Have you ever tried anything from Dr Botanicals?
