the range everyone’s been talking about…
I’m a bit late with writing this post, as the range launched last month. However, I couldn’t not talk about it. Colourpop is one of my favourite makeup brands, despite it being a bit expensive to get over to the UK. There products are so affordable for the quality, its insane. I’ve also been watching Zoë’s videos since I was about 13, so when I saw the announcement for the collab, I got a bit too excited.
I knew I couldn’t afford the entire range (student and all that), so I decided to pick what looked most appealing. I found this to be a pretty hard task, as everything in the range looked beyond gorgeous. I also placed this order when they were offering free worldwide shipping, which meant I did get it a lil cheaper – bonus! So here’s what I picked up.
group hug – liquid shadows
The first thing that caught my eye (no pun intended), was the liquid shadow duo. I’m an absolute sucker for eyeshadows, I just can’t help myself. I don’t own many liquid shadows, so thought this would be a good option to go for. You can buy these two shadows separately, or as a set, which I opted for. It comes with a gorgeous golden champagne shade called ‘OG’, which has silver flecks of glitter throughout. I’ve never owned a shade quite like this, its stunning. The other shade is a lovely metallic rose gold, named ‘Bellini’. I think I prefer this one out of the two, as its a bit more wearable and perfect for an every day makeup look.
soul mate – pressed powder blush
Next up, blusher. There was both this and a highlighter released in the range and whilst I wanted both, I opted to go just for the blush. I don’t have many in my collection, so thought this would be a lovely addition. Its quite a natural shade, and works well in an everyday makeup routine. Its not heavily pigmented, which is probably a good thing, as you can’t really go overboard with it. Also the packaging is super cute!
my day ones – lip bundle
There are quite a few lip products within the range, which you can buy separately or in bundles. I decided to go for a bundle, as I don’t own a single lip liner (I know), so decided it’d be worth it. I’m a nude lip gal through and through, so opted for the shade ‘My Day Ones‘. Colourpop’s liquid lipsticks are some of my fave’s, they’re not too drying and last a long time. This shade is right up my street as its very neutral and surprise surprise, goes with an everyday makeup look.
So thats all I picked up from the range, but I’m happy with everything I got. The products are such good quality and I think Zoë really pulled it out of the bag here. Let me know if you’ve picked anything up and if its any good!
