As you may have seen, I went to Amsterdam at the end of May. I shared a few photos I took on my film camera but I also wanted to do a post dedicated to some food places, because Amsterdam is amazing for food. Especially for brunch and snacks. We visited a handful of places, so I want to share those incase you’re going to Amsterdam anytime soon or are planning on going in the near future.

Pluk has to be one of the most Instagram-able places I’ve ever been to. It’s like stepping into a lifestyle bloggers house, it’s just dreamy. Alongside being a place for brunch/coffee, they also sell little knick-knacks which is super cute. Anyway, food. I opted for the smashed avocado and eggs on toast and oh boy, it did not disappoint. Probably the best avo on toast I’ve ever had (wow could I sound anymore basic)?! But seriously, it was delicious and I could have sat in there forever with that beautiful interior.

This is actually situated on the same street as Pluk, literally opposite. It has a similar vibe going on, again very Instagram-able, very pretty. It has a light, bright interior with delicious cakes and a lovely breakfast/brunch menu. The seating area is dispersed across the ‘ground’ floor, top floor and bottom, so plenty of space. We decided to eat breakfast here two of the days because it was so yummy. I had the American pancakes, which came topped with fruit and maple syrup. They also do smoothies which were pretty nice (I’ve had nicer, but can’t complain that much haha).
pancakes amsterdam – prins hendrikkade 48, 1012 ac amsterdam
I think this is a pretty well known place and perhaps not as Instagram-able as the previous two, but still amazing nonetheless. This is literally opposite Centraal Station, so it can get quite busy but if you’re there somewhat early, you should be okay. As you have probably gathered, this is a pancake house. However, they offer both Dutch style and American style. Whilst being in Amsterdam, it’d be rude not to try the Dutch style. You can choose from set toppings, or customise your own which is what I ended up doing. I opted for maple syrup (of course), strawberries and chocolate sprinkles and it was sooo delicious. Because its right in the centre, you’re able to see all the hustle and bustle going on around you whilst you eat which is really nice.
lucy’s cheesecakes – rokin 8, 1012 kr amsterdam
Okay, so technically not a ‘brunch’ place but I just had to include it. Not only because it’s my name, but because it’s the cutest lil place to grab a coffee and bite to eat. It has a beautiful pink interior (yaas), with loads of cheesecakes to choose from. We opted to share a slice of the stroopwafel flavour and it was delicious! If you want some cute shots for Insta or just want some goooood cheesecake, I’d totally recommend Lucy’s!
polaberry – prinsengracht 232 h, 1016 he, amsterdam
Again, not necessarily a brunch place but somewhere totally worth the mention. Probably the most Instagram worthy café I have ever stumbled across in my entire life, in fact I think it was actually made for the purpose of Instagramming. Inside, they have a flower wall and a peacock wicker chair…what more could you want?! The outside is just as pretty too! Although I must warn you, it is a little pricey for what it is but come on, its too aesthetically pleasing!
So there we have it, 5 super Instagram-able brunch spots in Amsterdam. I’d love to hear if you’ve ever visited any of these spots and what you thought, or if you’re headed to Amsterdam soon and plan on going to any of these.
