I must admit, I’m not the most organised person in the world. You’d think I was if you saw my notebook/stationery collection, but thats just me merely attempting to be organised…its all an illusion people. However, despite saying this, there are a few things I use that really help to keep my life on track. I’m someone who finds it much easier to keep organised if tasks are written down, it takes the stress out of my brain. So, here are a few things I do to keep my life (somewhat) on track!
set daily goals
I was kindly gifted this gorgeous Daily Goal Setter Planner from Mål Paper, which is perfect for keeping track of daily tasks. Not only does it have plenty of space to write down your tasks for the day, but it also has room at the top to write down three things you’re grateful for. When you’re busy with your day to day life, it’s easy to take things for granted. This gives you the opportunity to sit back for a minute and think and I love that. It also has a daily affirmation section which starts off with ‘I am…’ – what better way to start your day than with some self love?!
The quality of this planner is amazing as well, I definitely think its good to invest in something like this, since you’ll be using it daily! It comes in three different colours, black, grey and pink (which I of course opted for). So yeah, I’m pretty chuffed with this and how its helping me to keep my shit together – haha!
make use of your phone’s calendar
I swear this is one of the best things I’ve done, make use of my phone’s calendar. So simple, yet so effective. The majority of us have our phones with us at all times, so what better place to store all of your plans/appointments etc? As soon as I book an appointment or make plans with friends/family, it goes straight in there. I even put reminders in there, so if I have a blog post going up on a certain day or even a podcast, I pop it in there. Its great if you have a poor memory like myself! I’m not sure what else to say about this, other than its super handy and if you aren’t already making use of it, you must!
use a weekly agenda
I know this is somewhat similar to the two things I’ve mentioned above, but there is something really helpful about seeing your week at a glance that helps you feel more organised. I have a this weekly agenda notepad that I use to write down an overview of what I’m doing each day. Whether thats errands I need to run, a shift at work or an appointment I need to attend. I find it really helps to make me feel more in control when I can see what I’m doing written down on paper. Plus, once you’ve achieved what you’ve written down you can tick it off and that is a very satisfying feeling!
Those are the three things I use to help keep my life (somewhat) in order, let me know how you managed to keep organised – I’d love to know.
