Summer is well and truly here, which means it’s time to crack out the summer skincare. Bali Body recently got in touch and asked if I’d like to try out some of their products and well, as you can see I said yes. Sadly, I wasn’t blessed with lovely olive toned skin so I need all the help I can get for my pale limbs. So, let me share what I picked up.
face tan water
As soon as I saw the Face Tan Water, I knew I had to give it a go. Whenever I fake tan, I never put it on my face in fear that I’ll wake up resembling Donald Trump (ew). So since this is specifically for the face, it only seemed right to give it a go. You apply this with a cotton pad and just swipe it across the face. A few pumps go a long way, you don’t wanna overdo it. The only issue I have with this, is it’s clear, so you can’t tell where you’ve already applied it – so you do have to be careful. Anyway, I applied this before going to bed to let it develop overnight. Luckily when I woke up, I didn’t resemble a wotsit (yay)! It gave me a lovely bronzed glow. It was a little patchy in places, mostly around the very top of my forehead where perhaps I hadn’t reached but overall it looked pretty good!
shimmering body oil
Bali Body seems to be best known for its Body Oils and the reviews are pretty damn good. I was quite skeptical at first because I’m not sure how I feel about tanning oil, as there are health warnings that come along with them. However, this body oil doesn’t just have to be used in the sun. It can be used without sunbathing which is most likely how I’ll be using it, since I don’t want to risk using it to tan. On their website it also says that this can be used to treat dry & eczema prone skin – bonus! Also its got shimmer, so I think it’d look really good applied before a night out.
hydrating face and body mist
Oh boy did this come in handy when we had that extremely hot day the other week. I feel like a Face and Body Mist is an essential in the summer months, especially if you’re heading off to a hot country too. I literally just spritz this all over and its great for a quick refresh. It has a lovely coconut scent to it as well, which makes it even better. If I know it’s going to be a hot one, I can pop this in my bag and I’m good to go!
Overall, I’m impressed with what I’ve tried so far from Bali Body and would definitely recommend the Hydrating Face and Body Mist, plus its on sale at the moment. Do be careful with the body oil’s when tanning though and just educate yourself on sun protection.
