hello autumn…
I’m happy to see you again. As much as I love summer, I’m more than ready to cosy up in big coats and fluffy scarves. So, here are 10 things I’m looking forward to doing this autumn!
01. Heading to a pumpkin patch
Last year, I went to a pumpkin patch for the first time and I loved it. I feel as though its becoming more of a thing here in the UK which is amazing because it makes me feel so autumnal.
02. Wrapping up in a big coat
Finally, I can whip out the coats again! I purchased this gorgeous coat from H&M the other week and I’ve already managed to wear it once and I LOVE it. It feels as though I’m wearing a blanket, so super cosy!
03. Halloween
Of course, halloween! I never used to be fussed about halloween because ya know, just one day and we don’t celebrate it much in the UK. But, over the past few years I’ve just wanted to dress up and properly get into it. I love all the decoration too!
04. Cracking out all the jumpers
As well as being excited about getting the coats out, I’m equally excited about wearing all the cosy jumpers. Just think of all that layering – yaaas!
05. Comfort food
Ahh the colder months just screams comfort food doesn’t it?! I mean, a roast dinner is good any time of the year but it really hits the spot in the colder months right?
06. Burning autumnal candles
I have a Bath & Bodyworks candle sat on my windowsill ready to be burnt. Since the evenings are getting darker, it’ll be nice to pop a candle on whilst I chill or work on my dissertation (ahh)!
07. Autumnal walks
I want to try and go on more walks this autumn, even if its just around my local park. It’s so nice to see all the leaves changing colour and breathing in some fresh air. Plus, its good for the mind!
08. Have all the warm, festive drinks
As you probably know, pumpkin spice latte’s are back. I have to admit, I’ve never had one (shocking I know). I usually stick to my trusty chai latte but perhaps I’ll give the ol’ PSL a go this year.
09. Cosying up with a cuppa and watching some comforting TV
For me, this definitely doesn’t just have to happen in autumn haha. I spent a lot of summer doing this, just swap the cup of tea for a nice ice cold drink. But, its always nice to cosy up with a blanket and watch your favourite TV show in the colder months.
10. Taking better care of my skin
Over the past few years, I’ve noticed my skin becoming much drier come autumn. So, I want to try and keep on top of things and take care of my skin. This means moisturising my body every night before bed and using some more nourishing skincare.
What are you looking forward to this autumn?
