long time no post…
The time has come once again, where I think it’s appropriate to do a little life update. I think the last one I wrote was way back in May and of course a lot has happened since then, plus I haven’t been all too active around these parts. So, I thought I’d do a lil post just explaining what I’ve been up to lately!
back to university
The end of September saw me head back to uni for my final year -ahh. I honestly can’t believe I’ll be graduating in 7 months, the whole experience has absolutely flown by. Anyway, I’m back and its safe to say the stress is real. I knew third year was gonna be hard but wow, writing a dissertation is no easy task people. And having a practical project running alongside it as well, lots of time management is involved (not my strong suit). Its hard work but I’m hoping it will all pay off.
Since I will be graduating soon, I’ve been trying to get into the photography industry and have managed to book two weddings for early 2020! I photographed a very small/intimate wedding back in July and also shadowed a photographer so I feel somewhat confident, but nonetheless its scary! I am looking forward to it though, they’re both going to be beautiful and hopefully I can capture the couples day perfectly. I’m also doing a shoot next week in London for an event set up by Leila. Its a female empowerment shoot and I believe there is still tickets available if you want to come along, you can find them here.
taking up tap dancing again
I really wanted to start doing some exercise again this year (I’m the worst when it comes to fitness) and saw that my university were running dance classes, so I decided to sign up for tap. I used to do tap dancing when I was younger, but it’d been about 10 years since I put tap shoes on. However, I’m about 4 or 5 weeks in and I love it. Albeit, I’m not very good and it takes me quite some time to learn a routine but its a great form of exercise and I’m really enjoying it!
Over the past couple of months I’ve been up in London quite a lot. Well, I say a lot, its not really compared to some people haha. But for me it feels like it. Back at the beginning of October, my friend took me out for afternoon tea to celebrate my 21st which was so lovely. The venue was in a gorgeous hotel in Marble Arch, faaaancy. Then a few days later myself and my boyfriend headed up to an American baseball food festival, that food was gooooood. I then went back up again with the same friend to go to a Body Shop event in the Truman Brewery and have a wander around. We had such a lovely day looking at the vintage clothing in Brick Lane and eating all the good market food.
So yeah, not much has been happening but at the same time it feels like I’m super busy?! I’m gonna blame that on the uni work, its non-stop, but it’ll be worth it come June.
What have you been up to lately?
